Just a woman (Ban x reader: Sequel)

2. Blackout

Your eyes flutter open, staring up at the light which hung from the ceiling. The quiet breathing of Ban could be heard by your side as he slept soundly. You turn your face towards him, watching his bare chest rise and fall. You move closer to him to rest your head on his chest, listening to the rhythmic beating of his heart. His arms moved around your form, holding your body close in his sleep. You placed a hand on his chest and stared at the ring which he had presented to you the previous night. You unconsciously smiled, just remembering the day filled your stomach with warmth. Your heart started to beat faster as you inspected his sleeping face. Oh, how lucky you were to have this man in your life. You closed your eyes and fell back asleep in the arms of your lover.

Timeskip

"Mum, it's time to get up!". You sat up and rubbed your tired eyes, squinting tiredly at the blue-haired girl before you. "Where's Ban?", you ask, glancing to the empty place beside you. "Oh Uncle Meliodas came by this morning and said there was a meeting for the sins, since you were asleep Dad said he'd just tell you about it when he got back". You nod and get up, heading slowly over to your wardrobe to change.

"What should I wear today?", you wonder, digging through your clothes. Ava giggles as she holds up a pair of pants which were oddly familiar. "What about these?", she asks with a giggle. You notice them and take them from her, sliding your hand into the pocket. "It's been a while since I wore these", you chuckle, pulling a hand full of feathers from the pocket. You flattened your hand and blew the feathers at Ava, watching as several landed in her hair. "Hey, is it okay I hang out with Victor again today? He's going to the market and needs some helping carrying stuff". You smile down at her, giving small nod. "Of course, tell him thank you for last night". She raises an eyebrow at you. "What happened last night?". You smirk and turn back to your wardrobe. "Nothing really, your father just happened to be in the middle of proposing to me when you ran out and interrupted. Victor dragged you away so tell him thanks from me". She gives an understanding nod, probably still confused. "Geez come on Ava, I hope you don't get idiocy from your father". She giggles. "If I'm an idiot it's because you're one too". You poke her forehead and lean down to place a kiss on her cheek. "Okay, go have fun". "I'll be home before dinner!", she calls out as she begins running towards the front door. You hear the creak of it open and then it slam shut. Now you were alone.

Once you had changed, you grabbed some money and left the house, making your way to the market. On your way there you heard yelling. "Thief, thief!". You looked around and spotted someone wearing a long black cloak running in your direction. They ran past you heading towards an alleyway just up ahead. "Someone stop that man!", the woman screeched. Your sensed kicked in and you found yourself chasing after the cloaked figure. You dodged the other pedestrians, making the gap between you and the person even smaller. They turned into the alleyway and pulled a stack of crates loose, making it fall in your path. You leap over them, landing gracefully on the other side of them. You continue running, smirking as the cloaked figure was now trapped at a dead end. "I've got you now", you smirk. The figure pulls their hood back and returns the gesture, their white teeth shining in the dim light. "No, I've got you". Your body freezes, giving you no control. The figure walks slowly towards you. "Don't even try to escape, you won't be able to". A sudden pain shoots up your arm as they inject a strange pale blue liquid into you. Your vision soon becomes blurry and you seemed to sway side to side as you became unfrozen. But before you knew it you blacked out.

Ban returned to the house, swinging open the door, expecting to be greeted with a hug and kiss from his soon to be wife. But he was disappointed when he was met with silence. "(Y/n) are you home?", he calls, closing the door and entering the house. He hears the sound of footsteps. His head snaps in their direction, his face lighting up like an excited puppy. Ava appeared smiling at her father. "Welcome home, dad". He smiles and pets her identically colored hair. "Thanks, uh is your mother around?", he asks, beginning to look around the house. She shakes her head. "Nah, she went out. Probably gonna buy some food or something, I wouldn't worry though, you know she's strong enough to take care of herself". He nods and sighs. Ava giggle and hugs Ban. "You can't stand being away from her, can you? I feel the same way, whenever she had to leave me I felt really empty and when she came back I was the happiest I'd ever been". He smirks and pets his daughters head again. "We won't worry, okay? We're strong and we can wait for her to come back". The two of them laugh and sit down at the table, awaiting the (h/c) haired woman's return.

... You know what's happening. I only published one chapter of this story so I decided to do another. I really enjoyed writing the first one and I'm happy that I started this part. I hope you're enjoying it so far. Vote and follow me for more. Thank ya XD
