"Pure Forgiveness"
Mark, Nicole and Johanna had a good night rest. Mark fixes breakfast as Nicole feeds Johanna. They get ready to head to the mall. As they are shopping and buying stuff Nicole receives a text from Monica
"Did you hear about the shooting that happened last night around 11?"
"No girl, but I got a long story to tell you. I'll call when I get home"
"I'll be waiting love."
A week prior to this Nicole texted her mom and told her that she was willing to talk to her, give her another chance and forgive her. But she didn't get a reply. Despite what happened Nicole always loved her mother but her mother never faced the facts that her husband raped her.
They return home and fall fast asleep, Nicole wakes up to feed Johanna and call Monica. After Nicole gets off the phone with Monica.
Mark hears a knock at the door but it's not a normal not it's a loud hard knock followed with "Police, open up"
Nicole looks at Mark like what the hell is going on. Nicole goes to the door. She sees two police officer standing there. "Hello, We're lookig for Nicole Smith" Nicole looks worried "You're speaking to her" Officer 1: "Would you be willing to come down to the office with us?" "Can I change my shirt and get some shoes real quick." "Sure ma'am we'll be here waiting."
Nicole shuts the door.
Mark:"What's that about Nicole"
Nicole:"Mark do you really think I know, not in the mood for your stupid questions." Nicole changes her shirt, grabs a hoodie and some shoes. She kisses Johanna and tell Mark that she'll call him if she needs him.
Nicole has never been in a cop car or ever been in trouble. Well she had gotten into a fight while in middle school but she didn't get into trouble to the point of jail. Nicole is in the back of this cop car thinking the worst.
