Tenko's POV

"Tenko-chan, are you alright?" Koizumi-san asks me.

"Huh? Yes! Sorry, I just blanked out." I told her.

It was 6pm.

It's been a day since the new survivors came in.

I'm hanging out with Koizumi-san and Saionji-san because Himiko... she's with Kokichi.

I wonder how she's doing...

I wonder how she came to like him so much...

Ever since they started going out, Himiko would spend much more time with him.

She's happy with him... so I'm happy for her...

I just wish... she'd hang out with me a little more...

We watched Koe No Katachi together yesterday, but that's all we've done ALONE in awhile.

"Chabashira. If you're thinking about Yumeno, forget it. She's not gonna dump Kokichi for you." Saionji tells me.

"Hiyoko-chan! Don't say that!" Koizumi-san scolds Saionji.

She turns away.

"Don't take what Hiyoko-chan says to heart. There's still a chance for you." She assures me.

"No, she's right," I turn to face her, "It's okay, Himiko's my best friend! Nothing more!"

Did I really mean that?

I don't know...

Did I want to be in a real relationship with Himiko?

Himiko doesn't like me that way.

She's happy with Kokichi as a boyfriend, so I'm happy for her.

She sees me as her best friend, and that's how I see her.

"Tenko-chan... are you sure?" Koizumi-san looks me in the eye.

I feel tears stroll down my face.

"It hurt at first," I wipe them away, "But when I see Himiko happy, I can't be sad!"

"If you say so." Saionji says.

"If you wanted to hang out more, you could've asked."

I look behind me.

Himiko was there

and so was Kokichi.

"I heard everything." Himiko hugs me from behind, "If you want to hang out, I won't decline. You're my best friend!"

"But-" I look at Kokichi.

"I don't mind at all~" he smiles that one teasing smile he always gives.

I want to hit him so badly...

I hate him...

But he was being nice right now... right?

I don't know how to feel...

So I cry.

I tried holding it in... but I can't.

"Tenko!" Himiko hugs me tighter.

And we just sit there for a little while...

Himiko... you're just making me fall deeper for you... you know?

I can't help it... but I'll control myself!

I wipe my tears and look towards Kokichi.

"Hey, Kokichi." I say to him, "Treat Himiko well for me, got it?"
