Haylee's pov 

''um maddie logan you can go upstairs and to the left theres the hallway with two rooms you can pick one'' i said and smiled and they nodded and jared and adrian looked at me confused. 

''haylee no one is supposed to know about this place'' adrian said 

''thats why they are here look its a long story one that is not mine to tell but those people need to be kept safe this house is cloaked with magic the only people that can see it is me and them and now yall because yall were here when it happened.'' i said 

''who are they'' jared said 

''like i said its not a story thats mine to tell'' i said and adrian looked at me.

''do you like him?'' he said and i laughed

''no trust me you have one hundred thousand percent nothing to worry about'' i said and smiled and kissed his cheek.

''no one needs to know they are here you cant tell anyone not a peep to anyone else not even to me once we walk off this property its not to be talked about not even in link'' i said and looked at jared and he nodded

''good'' i said 

''we will leave you so you can get them settled in'' adrian said and i nodded

''okay'' i said and he kissed my forehead and he left and maddie came downstairs.

''he's your mate im guessing?'' she said and i nodded 

''yes he is'' i said 

''thank you for keeping my son safe'' she said 

''hey its nothing yall are family'' i said 

''really?'' she said and i nodded

''you are my half brother's mom so you are family'' i said and she smiled and gave me a hug.

''thank you'' she said 

''what are we gonna do about john'' she said 

''ill handle him because i know he knows where i was and that i know but i won't tell him where you are'' i said and she nodded

''i just need some time even though its been almost eighteen years'' she said and i looked at her

''eighteen?'' i said and she nodded

''im seventeen and my brother he's twenty four so that means-'' and it clicked 

''he lied to me'' she said 

''he had an affair with my mom when my brother was already born'' i said and she put her hand to her mouth.

''haylee i had no idea i promise'' she said and logan came down and looked at my mom and me.

''my dad cheated on his mate with my mom?'' he said 

''then had me after you were born'' i said 

''look right now its not a time to worry about it okay um look make yourselves comfortable and ill send jared by to drop off some food if yall are hungry?'' i said and they nodded and i smiled

''okay'' i said and i walked out and i got in my car and something just clicked in me. 

It was all the lies it was all the betrayal that has happened. The act he put up to keep this a secret instead of owning up to it. I drove to my cabin and i walked in and everyone looked at me and i hid my anger. 

''hey guys'' i said 

''where the hell have you been'' dad said 

''wouldn't you like to know'' i said 

''oh i think everyone would love to know right dad'' i said and his face fell.

''what is she talking about'' mom said 

''nothing'' dad said 

''oh what a man of the family'' i said and nick growled.

''oh please nick if you only knew what dad did so long ago you would be on my side'' i said 

''i think everyone would'' i said 

''because alot of people know the truth even when its hidden away behind a board in your office.'' i said and put the files down on the table.

''go ahead dad be the man you really are'' i said and he growled and i growled back.

''shut up haylee'' he said 

''john what the hell is going on'' mom said and she walked over to the table and he stopped her.

''you know what i don't have time for this'' i said and i tackled dad.

''go ahead dad tell them now before they find out themselves'' i said and he growled and i roared.

''tell them'' i said in a deep voice.

''i had an affair'' he blurted out and i got up.

''what else'' i said 

''and had another kid when nick was six and a year before haylee was born'' he said and mom gasped. 

''i was gonna stay quite till she told me the truth'' i said and i squated down.

''yeah and maddie knows the truth too'' i said and smiled 

''maddie?'' mom said 

''AS IN MY FUCKING BEST FRIEND MADDIE THATS WHY SHE LEFT'' mom yelled and i held mom.

''you bastard'' she said 

''get out'' nick said 

''nick'' dad said 

''GET THE HELL OUT!'' nick yelled and he left and mom sat on the couch.

''im sorry mom'' i said and hugged her.

''it's not your fault'' she said 

''thats where you went'' nick said 

''the witch i went to she made these rings and she made me an extra one that said LB and i was confused and when i went back she told me to check dads office when i did i found those files i found maddie's address and went there and when i found out about about logan the witch showed me a memory before she told me to check dads office it was maddie and dad arguing over what to do maddie didn't know you were his mate'' i said 

''thats why he never wanted to meet my friends and when he finally did he found out maddie was my friend and she had just had her son logan a few days later she was gone'' mom said and i looked at nick.

''they know about logan and when i went to go there thats when dad found out i knew and when dad knew they knew where to go when i stepped out the door i was shot in the stomach with an arrow and logan saved me'' i said 

''the ring didn't work?'' nick said 

''i didn't have it on i was being a dumbass'' i said and he nodded

''well at least you are okay'' mom said and i nodded

''maddie and logan are good people maddie was so shocked when she found out the affair was during yalls relationship he had told her that he hadn't found a mate'' i said 

''when i told her i was pregnant with my mate she was so happy for me and she met nick and before she left she said goodbye too us and i never heard from her again'' she said and i hugged her.

''go get some rest okay mom?'' i said and she nodded and she went upstairs and i looked at nick.

''where are they'' he said 

''maddie and logan?'' i said and he nodded

''safe'' i said 

''where though'' he said 

''here but no one can find them but me'' i said lying knowing adrian and jared knew too.

''its okay i understand'' he said and i nodded.

''did you talk to tori'' he said 

''actually no um right now don't tell anyone yet until everything is done and over with'' i said and he nodded

Hopefully this is over sooner than i think.............
