"Did you hear that Niall's coming home this weekend?" Jessica your twin asked you excitedly as you drove to school.

"No I didn't" you replied a bit annoyed.

"Oh" Jessica said, "well it will be fun".

"Hum" you replied aloud while you though to yourself "yeah I'll be fun for you because your his favorite". See you were never close to Niall, you wished it was different. I mean the age difference between you and Greg was so big you really couldn't get close, while you were navigating through your last years of school before Uni he was building a family, a career and a life for himself. It didn't really bother you that you weren't that close. However Niall was just barely 2 years older than you and Jessica. You suddenly realized the awkward silence "When's he flying in?" you asked, even though you could care less.

Jessica pulled out her phone "umm he's flying in late Friday night" she said. "Oh he also asked if you could pick him up since mom and dad are visiting gram this weekend".

"Yeah I can" you mumbled. Really he couldn't even text you to ask that? More importantly why did he need any one to go and get him? You saw the news, you knew he was at least worth 14 MILLION dollars; he couldn't just take a cab? See Jessica decided that she didn't want to learn how to drive until after Uni for some odd reason, so that meant you were the one who had to go and get him.

You really didn't know why Niall didn't like you. I mean yeah sure he loved you your family he had to but he never made you feel like he actually wanted to spend time with you like he did Jessica. Maybe it was the fact that you were a bit girlier (but not a total girly girl) than Jessica. See Jessica was all into football like the rest of the family. I liked football to but I wouldn't watch a game unless the family was watching. Jessica was one of the start players on the schools team and followed the Derby Football Club as well as some Premier teams religiously. 

Jessica began talking about Niall and all that had been going on during tour. You drowned it out feeling sad that he hardly ever made an effort to contact you when he was touring. I mean you knew that he didn't talk to Jessica all the time but at least he texted her maybe once or twice a week. It just sucked for you because you felt left out. I mean you were close with Jessica but when Niall came around she just wanted to spend time with him. Once you finally got to school you parked your car and said good bye to Jessica and walked off in different directions to get to your first class.

-------------------Friday Night

At 11pm your sister Jessica practically came running into your room. "Hey you know we have to leave to go and get Niall in 15 minutes" she said anxiously and ran away.

"Yeah I know" you said from your lap top. You were wearing leggings and a large sweater and weren’t going to change out of them. It was an hour drive to the airport and back, you were going to be comfortable. 5 minutes before it was time to leave you told Jessica to get in the car.

You drove to the airport in almost silence. You were at a small local airport so Niall just waited outside with his body guard. As soon as you parked your car in the pickup lane Jessica jumped out and ran to Niall. He lifted her off the ground and spun her around a little. They began walking toward the car, you got out and was greeted by an awkward side hug and a "hey [Y/N]". The bodyguard put Niall's suitcase into the back as Niall and Jessica got in the back seat. The bodyguard took the passenger seat and you drove off.

The ride was filled with Niall and Jessica laughing and carrying on about stupid things. As you got close to town you asked where the bodyguard was going to stay. He told you the hotel and then you dropped him off. Usually Niall was low-key enough that a bodyguard didn't have to stay at the house for him to feel safe. You drove to your house being ignored by them still. Once you got home you got out of the car fast and ran to your room.

-------------------Niall's POV

Jessica and I were cracking jokes as we pulled up to the house. As soon as we parked [Y/N] got out and ran inside the house. I ran after her abandoning my suit case and Jessica.

"[Y/N]" I shouted into the house. I walked up stairs and knocked on [Y/N]'s door "[Y/N] is everything okay?" I asked.

"y-y-yeah" [Y/N] replied and sniffled.

"Shit" I muttered to myself. At that moment I knew exactly what I had done. I had showed clear favoritism for Jessica over [Y/N]. "Can I come in?" I asked.

"Umm" she replied.

"I'm coming in weather you want me to or not [Y/N] so it's your choice" I said as threatening as I could. I heard her footsteps and steeped back from the door a bit.

"What do you want?" she hissed viciously at me. She only showed her face, which was red and gave evidence of her crying.

"Can I come in?" I asked.

-------------------[Y/N] POV

"Fine" I said flinging open my door and walked to my bed. I got under my and comfy again.

Niall sat down on my bed "I wanted to say that I'm sorry" Niall started, "I'm sorry that I've shown favoritism between you and Jessica. I know that it's totally unacceptable and I'm going to do my best to make a good relationship between us. I think the reason why Jessica and I are closer is because I can treat her like one of the guys, it's totally no excuse but yeah."

"I forgive you" I said quietly. I still felt hurt but understood that Niall hadn't meant for this to happen, he didn’t intentionally hurt my feelings.

"I want to do something with you tomorrow just the two of us" Niall said.

"You sure you want to?" I asked.

"Of course" Niall said smiling.

We decided to go to a theme park. It was lots of fun, we rode every ride and had a blast. It was nice that it was just us two. The next day we all 3 just hung around the house. We watched movies, played cards and board games. It was nice having all of us do something together for once. Jessica had early soccer practice the next day so she went to bed early. Niall and I stayed up to finish the movie we were already 1/4 of the way done with.

"Niall" I said.

"Yes [Y/N]?" he said looking at me a bit strange.

"Umm are we really still going to keep in touch?" I asked him.

"Yeah yeah course" Niall said opening his arms. I scooted over and laid my head on his chest. "I really do want us to get close. I promise I'll text you a couple of times a week and that I'll call you everyother week on umm the weekend". You nodded then sat in silence, putting your attention toward the movie again. "Um what are you doing when Jessica's going to be at soccer camp over the summer?" Niall asked me. Jessica was going away for 2 weeks for a soccer camp.

"Nothing as of right now" I said.

"Well" Niall said, "Would you like to come on tour with me in America?" As much as I wanted to say yes I thought of it as a pity offer.

"Niall you don't ha-" I said before Niall stopped me.

"No, I want you to come. It's not just because I feel like an ass" Niall said. "Believe me I wouldn't be offering if I didn't want you to come."

"Okay then I guess I would like to" you said.

"Great I'll talk to mom and dad about it" Niall said.

As promised Niall texted and called you when he got the chance. You also went on tour with Niall and the boys during those two weeks that Jessica was gone. On tour you had a great time and bonded with Niall and the other boys.

When you were about to board that plane back home Niall hugged you and let a few stray tears fall from his eyes.

"I love you [Y/N]" he said. This time you actually felt it, that he wasn't just staying that because he was family but because he meant it.

"I love you to Niall" you said smiling.
