A/Nl This kind of just happened. Yeah this is basically what the story is going to be about um yeah. I'm going to try to write a good portion of it before I start releasing a lot of chapters. Why? I don't want to start something and not finish it. I'm working on the first chapter right now and will give that to give you a taste of the actual story. Um but please comment and vote to let me know if you like this!
After a year of college Lauren Borwn had decided that it wasn't for her, at least at this point in her life. She had determined this halfway through her first semester. However she decided to finish the year to lessen the lectures and fights that she knew would happen between her and her parents. Lauren had decided to move to Ireland. No, not for a guy or a best friend but for her self. She was going to start all over again and decided to relocate for her amazing adventure of true self discovery.
Why did she want to move? All her life her parents carefully checked behind her to make sure that everything was falling nicely in place. They were both professionals- her mom being a prominent partner in one of the largest law firms in the east cost and her dad being a head research scientist for a well known research company.
Lauren was heavily involved in her school. Even in her high school which consisted of around 1,500 students that she was known to everyone. She was in many clubs and activities while also playing soccer for her school and a travel league. She finished in the top 15% and was accepted to 2 Ivy league schools. Lauren decided to forgo the Ivy league schools for a small college that was still highly prestigious.
Don't me wrong she was extremely grateful for everything that her parents had done and still did for her. However her life was quickly becoming their life, and she was going to do everything in her way to stop it. Yes, she felt guilty leaving them without a warning but she knew it was the only way it would happen. She left them each a letter explaining the whole situation and her motives behind it. She told them where she was staying and working. She tried her best to make them feel at ease even though she knew that they wouldn't be. She shipped off most of her things she had at college a week before school got out. She then went home (her parents were on a cruise and expected back the next day) and got her few remaining items and shipped them off or stuffed them in with her luggage.
Why Ireland you may ask? Well she'd always been fasinated with Europe in general. After carefully reasearching about places in Europe over the holidays she decided that Ireland would be best. It had one of the lowest cost of living and quite frankly it seemed fun. Before she borded that plane early that Thursday morning she had almost everything in place.
Lauren suffered from anxiety. Since she knew that her anxiety would spike with this major change she decided to get everything in place. She had a job at a local pub, that had the nicest owner. She had a place to stay, she careful explained to the landlord that she didn't have enough money to cover the downpayment and the first two months. Lauren had saved the allowance her parents gave her every month and worked a campus job to assist her move to Ireland. She barely had anything left after she bought her plane ticket. Lauren told him about her job and that she could only pay the downpayment. He understood and told her that he'd accept the downpayment and let her stay as long as she paid the remaining balance with in her first two months.
A monotone voice alerted Lauren that it was time for her to get on the air plane. She gave the ticket to the lady to scan and walked through the tunnel that led to the planes door. As people ahead of her were getting their ticket checked for the last time she looked back and said a mental good bye to what had been her home for 19 years. Next stop Dublin.
