Best Friends- Parents fighting + A/N at end

A/N: Crap need to get all the tenses straight along with POV

It was 10pm on a Saturday night when it happened; your parents fighting. No not physically fighting but emotionally, harsh words were spewing of each other's mouths. It was very unusual for your parents to have fights but you've never remembered a fight being this bad. You stayed in your room scared about what was going on elsewhere in the house. You heard a temporary brake in the fighting. You hoped that it was over but in your heart you knew it wasn't over.

You heard a knock on your door when you opened it you found you mom she said "both you and Rose get some things and go over to Maura's for the night I just got off the phone with her". I nodded my head and went into Rose's room when I found her she was tucked away in her bed crying.

"Doll" I said placing her six year old body in my lap, "it's going to be okay were going to Niall's for tonight".

When I told her this she stopped crying and wiped her tears "like a sleepover?" she asked looking up at me.

"Like a sleepover" you said with a forced smile. My family had always been close with Niall's since I could remember; Niall and Greg were like our brothers.

I got her things packed and carried her to my room so that I could get packed up. Within ten minutes of my mom telling me to leave I was driving out of my driveway doing just that. Rose and I in our pajamas left for Niall's house.

The ride to Niall's house was silent until it was broken by Rose "are mommy and daddy going to get a divorce?" she asked wearily afraid to know the answer.

"I don't think so Rosey, I mean I fight with mom and dad sometimes but I still love them yeah? Everyone fights sometimes." I told her trying to ease her fears even though I was scared of the very same thing.

The rest of the ride was silent until. I got out our bag and carried Rose to the door. I knocked on the door "come in" I heard Niall yell. I opened the door and stepped into the house and put Rose down.

"NIALL!" Rose said running up to Niall who was eating a sandwich.

"Hey Rosey" he said lifting her up and putting her at the side of his waist.

I sat down our bag beside the door. "And how's Ms. [Y/N] doing tonight?" he said walking over to me with Rose still in at his waist. He put Rose down and gave me a long, tight hug "hey don't worry it's going to be okay" he whispered.

"Gross" Rose said at seeing our long hug. We both laughed then slowly broke from the hug. I got Rose settled on the couch watching some TV and Niall went back to eating his sandwich.

"Where's Maura?" I asked him as I sat down at the table.

"Oh she got called in right after she got off the phone with your mom" Niall said with food in his mouth. Maura was an ER nurse.

This got a giggle out of me "Manners Nialler" I said playfully running my hand quickly through his hair. I sat with him as he finished up his dinner.

After he was done eating we went into the living room only to find a sleeping Rose. "Aww" Niall cooed, "I'll take her to Greg's old room".

I nodded and sat down on the couch. I was in a daze. I blanked out the kid show that was on the TV and just thought about their fight and the words that had been said. "What if they get a divorce?" I thought. Niall came back down a few minutes later and plopped down beside me.

"Are you okay?" he asked me while I was still in my daze.

"What?" I asked as I was brought into reality.

"Are you okay?" he repeated.

"Yeah why wouldn't I be okay?" I asked flashing a smile trying to hide my fear of the divorce.
