#2 Niall interacting with your little brother

You were hanging out on a cloudy summer day with your boyfriend Niall at your house. It was just you two, well except for your moody 13 year old brother whose hormones were raging because of puberty whoever he stayed up in his room a lot. You hadn’t seen him all day, but you knew he was home, you heard the noise from his game console. You and Niall were watching New Girl on Netflix until your mom called.

“Sweetie, Are you at home?” your mom asked.

“Yes, mom do you need anything?” you asked kindly.

Niall pause the episode and mouthed “Is everything okay?” you held your pointer finger up to answer him.

“Yes everything’s fine but I forgot that your brother had a physical at noon and I can’t take him. Could you and Niall please take him?” your mom asked.

“Yes, I don’t know how cooperative he’ll be but we’ll try our best.” I said. I got off the phone and told Niall our task. “Oh and I don’t know the last time he bathed or brushed his hair or teeth for that matter; so we have to make sure that happens.” you told Niall.

“Oh I’m sure we can handle him” Niall said as he stretched and put one of his arms over your shoulders. “Shall we continue?” Niall said grabbing the wii remote.

“Niall, you don’t know how head strong my brother is, he’s as head strong like me and not to mention he’s a teenage boy with raging hormones” you said, “I think it’d be better to start now so that we’re not late.” Niall nodded his head.

You and Niall thought of a plan of attack. You agreed that you’d go in all nice, then if it got worse Niall would play “bad cop” and you’d be the “good cop”. It was only 9:30 but you and Niall walked up stairs to tame the beast.

You knocked at his door “What do you want?” Lincoln yelled from inside.

“Open the door we need to talk to you.” Niall said.

“Great the boyfriends here” Lincoln said as he was opening the door.

“Hey stop that” you said, “have you eaten breakfast?” you asked.

Lincoln motioned to his impressive stash of food “What do you think?” he asked.

“I was just wondering gosh“ you said.

“Hey stop talking to [Y/N] like that” Niall said in his most forceful voice.

“Mom wanted us to take you to get your physical today, you need to get a shower and brush your hair and teeth before 12:45. Okay?” you said. “Actually” you said yanking the controller from his hand, “no more games until you’re ready.”

“HEY THAT’S NOT FAIR!” Lincoln yelled filling the entire house.

“Excuse me” Niall said and grabbed Lincoln by the hand and pulled him into his room.

You decided to wait down stairs. Ten minutes later you hear a door open and two pairs of footsteps coming down the stairs. You see a teary eyed Niall and Lincoln.

“I’m sorry [Y/N] for the way I’ve been acting. I guess lately I’ve just been getting of jealous of you spending so much time with Niall. I didn’t feel important to you any-y-y- more” he started balling.

Niall stood behind your brothers back and started to rub it. “Aww sweetie get over here” you said with your arms open. Lincoln sat on your lap and puts his arms around you; you put your arms around his neck. You started to cry a bit, “Lincoln, yes I love Niall” you said, “but you’ll always come first, you’re my family and nothing will change.” He pulled back and nodded his head.

“I love you but could you please practice some good personal hygiene?” you said smiling making everyone giggle.

“I think I could” Lincoln said getting up giving you another hug.

“Love you [Y/N]” Lincoln whispered.

“Love you bud” you whispered back. Lincoln then went upstairs to get ready.

“Wow” you said plopping on the couch.

“Tell me about it. I feel horrid.” Niall said, as he sat beside you.

“Don’t even go there” you said, “it’s my job to be a good big sister and I failed”. A few tears escaped onto your cheeks. Niall wiped the tears away quickly with ends of his sweatshirt; he then scooted you into his lap.

“I mean it’s not okay, Niall said temporality pausing, “but now you know what to do to fix this.”

You nodded and said “I just want the two most important men in my life to get along, you know?”

Niall nodded and said “You know Gregg and me?” you nodded you’ve met his brother a few times and Niall always talked about him. “We use to hate each other, like he would just look at me and I’d be ticked at him.”

You laughed a little, “You serious?” you said sniffling.

“Totally and look at where we are now.” Niall said, “I promise that if you and Lincoln work on it then you can end up being best friends.”

You know what you needed to do. You told Niall that you needed some time with Lincoln alone and that you would at least call him that night. When Lincoln came down stairs all dressed and ready he asked “Where’s Niall?”

“Umm I thought that it’d be nice for me and you to have some alone time” you said, “want to go and get some lunch before your appointment?” he nodded and you both left the house.

That day you took him to lunch and his doctor’s appointment just the two of you. You then watched movies and then lounged around all day. All in all a horrible day turned into a good one.

“I’m sorry that I made you feel like that that” you said, “if I ever make you feel like that again tell me okay?”

“Okay sis” Lincoln said and hugged you. The next day you and Niall spent the whole day playing video games and making it up to Lincoln.
