Marriage Series- The Proposal (long extremely long)

A/N: it's 22/5 and I have to go and do work so this is only half way edited will be done before tonight though

"When were you thinking of asking her? I don't want to put any pressure on you but I kind of would like for all of us to be here to be able to celebrate with her." her dad asked. I've never been so glad to see the waitress bringing food to the table so that she could interrupt our talk. It gave me a minute or two to think about it. I thought about it, I knew how important her family is to her.

"Why don't we finish this up quickly and go and get us a ring!" I said as they were about to dig in. A smiling appeared on both of their faces. During the meal my phone went off. "It's them" I said replying to the text, "I told them to stall for another hour and a half." I explained to them. We finish eating and as I'm about to pay for the bill her dad's offer to pay. "No I can't do that." I say trying to pay.

"I insist." her dad says giving the waitress the card before I have a chance to say no.

"Thanks but you really didn't have to do that." I said.

"Its fine ,honestly we're pratically family now" he said.

We hurry up and went to a ring shop, I texted my mom to bring [Y/N]'s mom to come and meet us there so she can help me pick the ring out. When we walked in I was greeted my mom and [Y/N]'s mom coming over crying and hugging me. "I'm taking this as you approve?" I asked her mom.

"Yes!" her mom replied. We found the prefect ring and I went and paid. I told them the plan for the proposal that would happen tomorrow. My plan was to cook a big meal for all of us and then proposing to her at the end of the meal. The mom's agree to help me and the dad's agree to take her tomorrow so that her siblings can help us with the cooking.

I drove her dad and step dad to my house, I told my mom and her mom to wait a little because if they see us together it could lead [Y/N] on to something. As I'm drove home I told them that one of them needed to text one of her siblings that it's okay to come home.

A few minutes later her step dad said, "they said they're an hour away".

"Good, now I have time to tell everyone" I thought.

When I got home I called my dad and told him about the dinner and me proposing I invited him and his girlfriend; "I wouldn't miss it for the world!" he said.

Then I called Greg and did the same thing; "Way to go little bro!" he said.

"Thanks Greg!" I said, "Can I talk to Denise for a second?".

He handed the phone to her, "Congratulations!" she said.

"Oh thanks!" I replied, "I hate to ask of this but I have around 20 people to cook for tomorrow..."

"Say no more text me when the cooking begins." she said.

"Thanks so much!" I replied. I then quickly called all of the boys to see if any of them can make it, they all say that they'll be sure to be there.

Just as I was finished getting off the phone with Liam, I sit down on the couch and get comfy just as [Y/N] and her siblings are coming in. "Yes" I thought to myself, "I got this cat in the bag". [Y/N] came over and sat in my lap and gave me a kiss. All of them start talking about their day.

After a few minutes when it died down her step dad asked me "

"One at a time please" I said, "I'm not use to listening to a lot of people at once." They smiled and nodded each took turns giving their own account of their day. After their done I excuse myself to the restroom and go to my room to text my mom that she and [Y/N]'s mom can come over now. "Niall" I heard [Y/N]'s voice from outside the bathroom. "What?" I said. "You've been acting weird." she said. I flush the toilet and wash my hands to give the illusion of me using the restroom. I open the door and said "No babe, I'm not I'm just letting you spend some time with your family. My mom and your mom are about to be here. Okay?" I said to her.
