I waited outside the pizza place for Gavin, then he arrived. I jumped in the car and we drove to school. None of his friends were in the car, he looked angry.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” I asked.

“At work last night, I saw your parents. They said they had no clue where you were.” Said Gavin. I was nervous.

“I’m sorry.” I said knowing that wasn’t good enough.

“Why did you lie to me?” asked Gavin. I needed to avoid saying certain things.

“Baylee’s pregnant and I was helping her move into her baby daddy’s house. My parents have no clue because they don’t care.” I said.

“Ok sorry for seeming paranoid.” Said Gavin and laughed. Gavin put his arm around me. I waited a few minutes and put my mouth to his ear.

“Being paranoid makes you look sexy.” I whispered as I kissed his ear. When we got to the school, we made out in his car. The bell that we had five minutes rang. I sighed and we kept kissing.

“We should get going.” Said Gavin as we got out of the car. We walked into the school. Today, Gavin didn’t even walk me to my locker instead he went over and talked to his friends. I started to grab my books, but Brittany came over.

“Hey, punk skunk.” Snapped Brittany.

“Hi.” I said as I grabbed my history book.

“So I heard you and Gavin are a thing.” Said Brittany as she leaned against the locker. I didn’t want her to blab about it to everyone because I like it how it is. No one noticing me and even if they do, they do it in secrecy.

“No.” I lied putting the book into my bag. Brittany slammed the locker shut.

“Don’t lie to me.” Shouted Brittany. I opened my locker back up.

“He’s just giving me rides to school and rides to work.” I lied.

“It’s one thing to dress badly. It’s another thing to play as rebound for a guy and have your blinders on, slut.” Snapped Brittany.

“You are sick and think everything has to do with you. The world doesn’t revolve around you in fact most of the people in the world secretly hate you because you are a selfish bitch. The people who you think are your friends use you for your popularity and don’t tell me I have the blinders on because yours are stuck to your face.” I exclaimed.

“Enjoy my sloppy seconds, bitch.” Snapped Brittany as she left my locker. I pulled out my phone and texted Gavin that Brittany knows.  My big fear became her telling people. Brittany has a loud mouth that people in this town are stupid to believe. If Spinner found any of this out, he would hate me. I needed to end whatever this was with Gavin even though it just started. Spinner comes first.
