(So this little story is gonna be when Emma is like 18.)
Emma's pov:
It was a Sunday morning and I had dragged myself out of bed at 7:00 in the morning because today is father's day. Today we honor our dad's, our hero's. And of course my dad was the best of both worlds. A two in one you could say. I zoomed to jitters to get a coffee and then zoomed to mine and dad's favorite donut shop. I picked out a dozen of dad's favorite donuts and zoomed home. I zoomed in the door and stopped. I looked around to see if any one was up. Well if anyone was... I don't see them. I placed the donuts and coffee on the counter and speed wrote dad a note. It said 'happy father's day to the best dad a girl could ask for!! This box of donuts is all for you, well, except one ;) - love Emma♡' I placed the note on the box and zoomed out again. I was going to look for a gift. Tbh I never really knew how dad felt about father's day. I mean he seemed happy but he also seemed sad. I mean... I know why. But still. He never asked for anything. He always said I was the best gift he could ask for. Anyways I was at least gonna get him a coffee cup or something. I walked into the store and walked to the aisle that I knew had a decent amount of cups to pick from. I have no idea why I always wait last minute. But I do. I stood there for about 3 minutes and had found the perfect cup. (Da cup she chose👇)
I picked it up and walked to the register to pay for it. I paid for it and walked out. When I got outside and out of peoples sight, I zoom home. "I know mom has a bag I can put this in." I think to myself as I walk in the door. I look over to see if the donuts and coffee I left have been touched. And they have. Which means, dad's awake. I sneak upstairs to my room and place the mug on my bed. Then I go to the closet where mom keeps the bags and stuff. I pick out a bag and some tissue paper and carry it back to my room. I walked into my room and plopped on my bed. I packed dad's mug into the bag. I grabbed the bag and walked down stairs. I placed the present on the couch as I walked by. I headed towards the box of donuts. All that running made me hungry, I deserve one. I smiled to myself and opened the box. I picked up a donut and took a bite. When I turned around there was dad. I scream and almost hit him. Luckily he has fast reflexes and moved out of the way. He laughs. "Sorry kiddo." He says, picking up a donut. "Thank You for these by the way." He says. He kisses my cheek and walks towards the couch. "Your welcome. But don't sneak up on me like that... ever again." I say walking behind him. He notices the bag. He looks back at me and then points at the bag. " You didn't have to get me that Emma." He says. "I know. You always say that. But I just need to show my appreciation for the best dad ever." I say walking over and plopping down beside the bag. He chuckles and sits down on the other side of the bag. Right as he finishes his donut mom walks in the front door. "Oh hi guys." She says. Dad smiles. "Hi mom. Dad was about to open his present." I say grinning. "Oh." Mom says walking over. "Well don't let me stop you." She says sitting in one of the chairs. Dad grabs the bag and opens it up. He reads the print on the mug and smiles. "Thank you kiddo." He looks up at me and smiles. He leaned across and kissed me on the cheek. I smiled. "Your welcome dad." I say. The rest of the day was spent spoiling dad and grandpa Joe. After we had got back to the loft I went upstairs and got dad's card from my room. I had hand made it but forgot to give it to him earlier. I came back downstairs and handed the card to dad, who was lying on the couch scrolling on his phone. He smiled. "What's this?" He asked taking the card from me. "It's your card. I forgot to give it to you earlier." I say. He sat up and opened the card. I sat down as he started to read it. I saw him get a little teary eyed as he was reading. When he was finished he looked at me with a dorkish grin and teary eyes still. "Thank you Emma." He said. He leaned over and gave me a big hug. He kissed my forehead and told me how much he loved me. "Your welcome. I love you too dad." I said.
