Sofia's P.O.V.

I plopped myself on the carpet of the compound and leaned against one of the couches. My mom was seated on the long couch opposite of me and across the coffee table. Tori was next to her and they were talking about something moms talk about. "Where's your boyfriend?" Sam asked, walking into the living room to sit on the couch I was leaning against.

A smile graced my lips at the mention of Dylan. "Him and Ethan are playing laser tag with their friends." The dark man nodded and shoved a handful of popcorn in his mouth. "Good riddance!" My father muttered, stepping over my legs.

He walked around the coffee table and took a seat beside my mother. She smiled as he pecked her on the lips. Steve followed his actions so he could sit next to Tori. I turned my head and looked at my brother. He was sitting next to Peter on the couch directly in front of the TV. "Hey Levi, where's your girlfriend?"

My brother narrowed his eyes and leaned further into the couch. "I don't have a girlfriend." Everyone seemed to believe him but I wiggled my eyebrows in his direction. Scott sat down next to Sam and reached into his popcorn bowl. The dark man let out a growl and slapped Scott's fingers.

"OUCH! That hurt...." Scott whimpered. I chuckled as Sam continued to stuff his face. "What movie are we watching?" Peter asked, earning everyone's attention. My mom shrugged and looked to her friend. "What good movies does Earth have now?"

Tori scrunched up her nose as she used the remote to browse Netflix. "Hmmm..... Jurassic park?" I furrowed my eyebrows and shook my head. "It looks kind of old."

"It is, besides Netflix has better movies." Peter commented. "It's not as old as Steve." Sam muttered through popcorn. My uncle sent the man a glare before focusing on the screen. "The Phantom of the Opera?" My father suggested.

Everyone shared a nah.  "It's kind of dark." Scott said. "Yeah and I don't wanna watch a musical!" Sam complained. Tori rolled her eyes and continued to click through the movies. "Star Wars?" She offered.

"Ohh!! Is it the Return of the Jedi?" Sam, Scott, and Peter asked at the same time. Tori shook her head. "They only have the prequels." All of the boys groaned and sunk back into the couch. My green eyes looked around the screen until it landed on a specific title. "What's Benji?"

"It's a movie about a dog. Actually it's a classic! I haven't seen it since I was a kid." My aunt answered. "We should watch it! I used to love this movie!!" My mom exclaimed, shaking my dad's hand like it was a maraca.

Scott and Sam both shrugged. "I don't really like that movie." Sam muttered, earning a nod from Scott. "While I do love dogs it is kind of slow moving." Peter added. "Come on guys, this is a remake! We can at least give it a try." Tori argued.

Levi, Peter, Sam, and Scott didn't look convinced. I shrugged. "Maybe we should find something else?" Tori shook her head and pointed the remote at the screen. "No, we will try this for 5 minutes and then see what everyone thinks."

The boys behind me groaned and reluctantly faced the screen. Just the Brooke walked in with a smile on her lips. "Hey guys!! Whatcha watching?"

Peter smiled up as his wife and pat the space beside him. "Benji, want to join?" Brooke nodded and happily hopped over the couch. Peter put his arm around her shoulder and they cuddled next to my poor brother.

He looked like he was trying to ignore the couple and focused on the movie. Thankfully it started and the room became silent. The screen showed a large white truck sliding to a stop. A dark man hopped out and he grabbed something that looked like a dog catcher.

The man walked down the dark alley and there was a small dog in the back. It looked like a girl and the way she was holding herself seemed like she was guarding puppies. "No!!" Brooke muttered, clinging to Peter tightly.
