Dylan's P.O.V.

"There is no way that Jack is dead! They have to be making a sequel!" My girlfriend insisted. We were both walking down the sandy beach with our shoes in our hands.

I chuckled and put my arm around her shoulder. "I'm sorry but Titanic came out a while ago and they haven't done anything." Sofia scrunched up her cute nose in frustration. "I refoosey!!!"

I raised both of my eyebrows and gave her an amused look. "You what?"

"Refoosey!" She repeated with confidence. "Sofia, that's not a word." I corrected softly. Her black curls bounced with the shake of her head. "It's a word. I said it so it's a word, we just made it official."

"Who is we?" I asked, looking at the waves beside us.  "All the people inside my head." I looked into her big green eyes. "Really?" She nodded with pursed lips. I took my arm off her shoulder and stopped in front of her.

"Well what are the people in your head saying about me?" I asked with a smirk dancing on my lips. Sofia glanced down at her flowy skirt before looking up at me. "Lot's of things, you'll have to be more specific."

I chuckled and cupped her cheek with my hand. "What are the people in your head saying about me right now?" Sofia's pearly white teeth spread into a smile as she leaned closer. "They are saying that you look really cute when the sun is setting and I should kiss you."

I smirked and pressed my lips against hers. My hands went to her hips as she looped her arms around my neck. We both pulled away smiling and she gave my cheek a soft peck. "I like you a lot, Sofia Hazeldine."

She smiled and nuzzled my nose. "I like you more, Dylan Richards." I pecked her honey sweet lips and pulled her closer. "Your dad would kill me if he saw us like this."

Sofia nodded. "That's not an exaggeration." I opened my mouth to reply but something in the distance caught my eyes. I squinted to try and make out what it was but remained clueless.

It almost looked like a pale man, dressed in green, with black hair was glaring at us from the dock. "What's wrong?" Sofia asked, hands sliding to my shoulders. "Nothing, I just-I thought I saw your dad."

She turned around to where I was looking but the second she did, it disappeared. "It's just nerves." She assured, patting my shoulder. I shook the thought away from my mind and turned around.

Sofia had already gotten up to her knees in the water and her skirt was floating on the surface like a giant flower. I fought past the urge to squeal as the freezing water tickled my ankles. I waded over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"Don't worry, it will never be as pretty as you." I cooed, referring to the setting sun. She scoffed and looked up at me, orange and pink glow on her pale skin. My hands slowly moved up the cotton shirt covering her waist.

Then out of nowhere I felt a sharp pain in my calf. I groaned and jerked away from her. Sofia looked confused. "What-What's wrong?!" I looked down at my leg to find it bleeding into the water. "Something bit me!"

She frowned and we both searched the water's surface. then my eyes landed on a green snake slithering on the water. "A snake." I growled, wading through the water to strike it. Sofia jumped in front of me so the snake could get away.

"Don't hurt it! It's just a snake!" I narrowed my eyebrows and crossed my arms over my chest. "It hurt me!" Sofia cupped my face and frowned. "You poor baby!"

I rolled my eyes as she continued to wade further into the water. "I'm not a baby." Sofia was almost up to her waist before she stopped to turn around. "Really? Then why are you acting like one?"

I just shook my head and focused on the setting sun. "You don't have a change of clothes you know. You're going to get soaked if you go any further!" A smirk found her pink lips. "I know, but so are you."

"I'm not going that far in! Especially when it's almost dark!" I insisted. Sofia went to say something before her head disappeared. Fear struck my heart as only bubbles were on the surface. "Sofia?"

I got no response and the bubbled started to swim around. "Sofie! I'm not coming in, I know you can swi-" Before I could finish, something torpedoed out of the water and tackled me. I let out a yell as I was forced into the cold, black water.

I pushed a giggling Sofia off me and sat in the water. It was resting at out chest level while I glared at my laughing girlfriend. "I hate you!" Sofia shook her head between laughs. "You love me too much to hate me!"

I raised one cold eyebrow in amusement. "Do I now?" Sofia continued to giggle as she crawled backwards. I got on all fours in the shallow water and crawled after her. A smirk was on my lips when I successfully caught up to her.

Both my hands were in the sand as I connected our lips. She placed both of her hands on my chest. The water continued to drip from us as we shared a kiss and for some reason she warmed me up.

My lips grew hungrier at the warmth she gave me. She eventually pulled away for air but I rested my forehead against hers. "I'm still mad as you for getting me soaking wet!!"

A grin found her lips and she gently pushed me back. "I'm sorry, should we go dry off?" I nodded and we both stood up. Our clothes were dripping with water as we trudged back up to the beach.

Once we reached the sand we both collapsed onto the ground. I rolled my head around so I could stare into her big green eyes. She propped herself up on her elbow before speaking. "Are you cold?"

I nodded and she pinched her eyes shut. "So this is going to be weird, but remember when I threw a fire ball the other day?" I nodded growing more interested. "Well I can basically make fire like my mom... And something else but that doesn't matter! The point is, I can warm us up if you want?"

I shrugged. "Why not, I'm freezing!" She smiled before extending her arm. She slowly let it hover over my body and I felt a warm heat coat my skin. The liquid evaporated from my clothes and I was left in amazement. Once I was done, Sofia did the same thing to herself.

"How do you do that? Are you cursed!?" She let out a soft laugh and shook her head. "No, my mom has fire abilities and my dad is like a god." I nodded, still not able to wrap my head around it. In all honesty it was kind of scary.

"So what did you get from your dad?" Her breath hitched insider her chest and I could see some fear enter her eyes. "Nothing important."

I didn't believe her but this whole hero family thing was overwhelming me and I don't think I could handle anything else. As long as she wasn't some creepy, colored monster I'd be good.

I opened my mouth to speak but something fell on my head. Sofia covered her mouth to hold back a laugh as the bird poop dripped down my hair. I looked into the sky to see a green seagull flying over us. "I don't think your dad likes me."
