Sofia's P.O.V.

Dylan had been with me all day, just talking. I told him I would come back as soon as I could but we both agreed we should break up. I wouldn't want to put him in a situation where he loved another girl but still had my weight around his neck.

"I have to go, Ethan is waiting on me." He muttered, giving my shoulder a light squeeze. I kept my green eyes on my fingers as I inhaled slowly. Thankfully I hadn't cried, unlike my younger twin who practically balled his eyes out.

I swallowed the lump of sadness in my throat and nodded. "Then you should go." Dylan brushed his hand over mine but I refused to respond. He let out a sigh of defeat what I still didn't make eye contact. "I love you." He whispered, softly pressing his lips to my cheek.

I closed my eyes as he got up from his spot on the floor. When his footsteps began to fade I finally opened my glassy eyes. I watched with a pain in my throat as his shadow left the doors, letting my half frost giant skin take over.

I quickly pulled my sleeves down my wrists and crossed my jean covered legs. I cursed myself as one fire filled tear slipped down my cheek. Although it wasn't too much longer before a second tear froze on the opposite cheek.

"You alright?" My mom asked, slowly walking over to me with my dad following close behind. The fire sizzled against my sleeve before I peeled the other tear off my skin. "I'm fine."

My mother sent me a sad smile. She turned to my father and let out a sigh. "You want to take this one?" My dad nodded and stepped beside me. I looked up to him, all decked out in his leather suit and waited for him to do something.

He straightened his shirt before lowering himself to the ground. "I never liked Dylan... But I do that if I ever had to say goodbye to your mother for an uncertain amount of time, I would be in a far worse state then you are."

I smiled down at the ground before letting my frown return. "You're so strong and cunning and I'm very proud to be your father... That boy is lucky to have you and if he's smart he'll wait for your return."

I nodded my head and forced myself to look my father in the eyes. Everything about his posture was genuine, and he had a kind look in his eyes that I rarely see. "If he doesn't then I can just kill him."  He added casually.

"Loki!" My mother scolded. My father ignored her and we shared our identical grin as we laughed. However our laughter was cut short on account of multiple large blasts.

My dark eyebrows knit together. "What was that?" My parents both shook their heads and I could practically see their fighting switch flip. We both rose to our feet and stood by our mother. We looked down the hall that shared the stairs to the balcony and waited.

Footsteps grew louder and louder until 3 men with glowing pink eyes rounded the corner. "Steve?" My mother asked, eyes flickering between Steve, Sam, and Peter. "Is everything alright?" My father questioned, tone hardening.

"Quite the opposite!" Peter growled, extending his web shooting wrist. I lunged to the right and my father lunged to the left so the web hit the glass door far behind us. My jaw clenched in their direction and I lit a flame in my right hand.

"Sofia stop, we can't hur-" My father was interrupted when Steve threw a plasma shield into his chest. My father was knocked to the floor with a loud thud and my mother let out a gasp. "Are you okay?" Mom whispered, holding out a hand.

My father flipped the black hair out of his face and took my mother's hand. "I'm fine, love." He let out a small groan before pulling out his twin daggers. "Sofia, continue." I cracked my neck before facing the men.
