I stomp up the concrete steps to Kiku and my apartment. I throw open the doors and am greeted by Yuki, a nice man who works at the front desk.
"Well good evening Miss. Mai!" He says in his cheerful voice he always has.
"Hi there Yuki," I mumble under my breath.
"You sound tired, anything I can do for you?" He runs a hand through his brown hair and blinks his big brown eyes.
"No, thank you though! I just need some sleep. It was a long day today, that's all. And another thing, how many times do I have to tell you to just call me Sachi" I tried to cover up my little scurry in the alley.
"I know Sachi, but after a long day of work, I'm just used to calling everyone who comes through that door Miss or Sir." Yuki paused and stared at me until his eyes flick to my shoulder where the blood from my run in with the bandits was. "Are you ok Sachi? You have blood on your shoulder! And some more on your face! What happened? Were you robbed today?" He fired questions at me, I didn't have time to answer them all at once.
"Uh.... well I...." I stammered.
~~Yuki's POV~~
"Uh.... well I...." Sachi stammered.
"Please tell me! If you were robbed we'll call the police!" I said
"No there was a fight in the park today and I was walking past and I tried to break it up and I got the boy's blood on my shoulder. I guess I must have gotten some on my face as well! Nothing to worry about Yuki!" She said it with such confidence. She smiled as if remembering breaking up the fight. She's always smiling and in a cheerful mood.
"Ok but if you need absouletly ANYTHING at all, you know where to find me!" I replied.
"Thank you Yuki," she smiled again and walked to the elevator and pushed 12 and I watched the doors close and her beautiful face was gone.
She always has such crazy stuff happen in her day, all the while I just sit here and think of how beautiful she is. The way she walks and talks just makes me want to run to her and throw my arms around her waist and kiss her. I yawned loudly, as I made my way to the elevator and pushed 15. I sighed and rode the elevator up to my floor and walked inside room 15K. I changed into pajamas and crawled into bed. I yawned and said, "Good night Sachi, I love you" and closed my eyes and drifted into a dream.
~~Sachi's POV~~
I walked into my apartment 12D and closed the door behind me. The sweet smell of a home cooked dinner flooded my nose and mouth and made me drool onto the wood floor.
"Sachi! Welcome home!" Kiku yelled from the kitchen.
"Kiku? Are you in the kitchen?" I asked.
"No I'm in the bathroom making beef and barley soup! What do you think?" Kiku laughed sarcastically.
I ran to the bathroom and said "Hellllloooooooooo?!" to the toilet, shower, and sink.
"You dummy!" Kiku shouted. I heard her pouring soup into bowls her dad gave her before we moved out. "I know you run for my cooking so get in here!"
I ran into the kitchen at full speed, taking in the sight of Kiku using a ladle to give me lots of soup in an extra large bowl. I stopped and stared at the soup, it looked so good! As soon as she put the ladel down I ran to her and hugged her with all my might. "You're such a nice chef! What did I do to get such a good friend that can cook and clean like you?" I smiled and let her go.
"Consider yourself lucky!" She said and laughed, then noticed blood on my shoulder. "More bandits?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'll tell you over dinner," I replied smirking, "But just so you know" I yanked out a chair from the table and put my foot on the seat and made a super hero pose, "I kicked ass!!"
