Chapter 13

~~Canaan's POV~~

"This is where you die!" I shouted as I shoved the gun straight at Sachi's heart and I shot. Blood spewed everywhere and her lifeless body fell to hit the roof. It was over, I did it. I killed Sachi Mai! I started to laugh, I couldn't stop, it felt so good! It was like the weight of the world had been lifted off of my shoulders.

"I did it!" I screamed at the sky, "where's your hope now? I can raise the dead now!" I laughed again and I fell to my knees and held her face in my hands.

Her face was growing cold, and her eyes were loosing their normal green sparkle. Her lips weren't as pink as they normally were. I slapped her across the face, even though I knew she couldn't feel it, CAUSE SHE WAS DEAD!!

"I did it you damn rat! I killed you, finally! I won't have to live in your shadow anymore! I won't have to be more like you to make people proud. I can be me, yes!" I yelled in her lifeless face.

Suddenly her body started to ripple in and out, kind of like a beach, when the body of my rival turned to smoke and rode the wind away.

Then I felt a cold and hot sensation rip through me as I gasped and cried out in pain. A single silver bullet casing fell to the ground next to me. I didn't even hear the shot! What was that?

I turned and saw Sachi ripple in and out to reveal her body standing over mine with a gun pressed to my back. She leaned forward into my back and whispered in my ear, "I just got a new ability. One that let me dodge death, this time."

My eyes widened and I crumbled like a piece of paper and my upper body slammed on the ground where Sachi's was.

"What-- how did y-you?" I babbled like a baby.

"Apparently I had an ability that is like the Invisible Cloak. It's called Copi Cat, it lets me make copies of myself or other people. I liked seeing what happened if I did actually die, seeing you laugh like that, disgusting." She explained and turned to the rows of porches on the side of the building.

"I'm going to get you one day," I shouted, meaning it. She started laughing and simply replied,

"How do you plan to win, if a damn rat like me, could even beat someone like you?"

~~Sachi's POV~~

Canaan laid there and watched my every move, I knew she was watching. She tried to grab her gun, only about four feet away from her.

"Don't even think about it," I muttered as I walked over and picked up the gun. I pulled out the ammo and saw only one bullet was left. I slammed it back into place as I walked over to her and bent down.

"How do you think I should use this gun? To steal it, like I do all my other targets? Maybe I should destroy it, the boys down at the gun shop love to creamate guns that are no longer wanted! Ooh! Maybe," I cocked it and pointed it at her face, "I could use the last bullet to shoot you."

My finger felt heavy on the trigger. I wanted to shoot her so badly and end this. Damn! Make up your mind! I took off my bag and dropped it inside, sinched the top and slung it back over my shoulders.

"We'll have a real fight the next time we meet," I said walking back over to the lines of porches.

"Wait, you rat!" She screamed.

"Next time, I will pull the trigger," I threatened as I hopped down the porches.

I reached my porch and I walked inside to see Yuki, sitting on the couch, holding a juice box, trying without success to calm himself down. While Kiku was loading another gun on the coffee table, while two others where laying on the floor.

"I live to tell the tale," I said, strolling inside and grabbing a juice box from the fridge.

"How was it?" Kiku asked stone voiced.

"Fine, I won, naturally." I poked a hole in the tinfoil on the top of the juice box.

"Yuki wants us to explain what has happened today,"

"I see," I glanced at Yuki who was pacing in front of the couch.

I whistled at him and he looked right at my emerald eyes. Just for show I turned them red, while saying, "sit down."
