Chapter 15

~~Sachi'sPOV~~

I felt Kyo's soft lips touched mine, so tenderly, at that same moment, I realized how much I missed him. I pulled back away from him and looked into his deep green eyes. They were so full of love and compassion.

"Kyo..." I started sobbing as I pressed myself up against his strong body. "I missed you so much!"

"Hey," Kyo whispered, his deep voice felt like it shook me to my core even though it was just a whisper. "Don't be like this, you're not as beautiful when you cry. And I don't want to have your ice cream ending up plastered to my back or melting."

I laughed, he always made me laugh when I felt like I would never do it again.

"Alright. Why don't you come home with me? Kiku would fly off the couch to tackle you cause she misses you even more than me! I think my mint ice cream would stop her for about ten minutes." I laughed.

"Ok, that would be fun, let's head there now. Do you still live in the same place the last time I was here?" He asked.

"Yes, it's really comfy! And we do have a guest over so maybe the messing around and being complete idiots will come later," I said. Lots of people take it that Kyo and I are in a sexual relationship, that's further from the truth than the north pole is from the south. When we say messing around me mean like eating ice cream, and riding the little metal animals outisde of grocery stores, with the employees running outside throwing things at us to get off. Just being best friends.

"Oh, well, alright then if you say so!" He smiled through his words, and placed his arm around me.

A chill went up my spine when he flattened his hand on my left hip, and walked a little faster than me so he could have his whole arm pressed up on my back, all the way up to his muscular shoulder.

We started walking home, he was telling me about how he had been up in the mountains for half a year, perfecting his martial arts training.

"So what your saying is, for the past six months, you've been meditating under waterfalls and fighting bears?" I asked sarcastically.

"If I was fighting bears, I would have told you to impress you Miss. I-can-beat-anyone-in-a-battle! Oh yeah and I have a new martial arts move to show you," Kyo exclaimed.

Kyo knows about my past, and actually he loves me because of it. It gives him someone to train with. I love him for it also, because I know he will never hate me because of my past, or who I am. I completely trust him to keep my secret too. He knows about Canaan, and how she was the only one who survived the collapse of the lab. He knows how I love to believe that I killed everyone there, and how I want to believe that I wanted to kill Canaan because if I did, the attack today might not have happened.

"Speaking of Kiku, how has she been?" He asked, looking at all the shop's desplays.

"She's been good! Still a great chef, she's actually improved! I'll have to ask her to make a special welcome home dinner!" I smiled and said.

He ran to one of the desplays and grabbed thirty eight dollars and pointed to something I couldn't make out. The man on the other side of the counter smiled and said something and grabbed the item and tradded the money for the goods and yelled a thank you while Kyo was walking away.

"Lean forward," he gently asked me.

I did as he asked and he said, "close your eyes," I did that too.

"Look at your neck!" He exclaimed.

I looked down and a beautiful emerald necklace shone back at me. It was on a silver chain with two small emeralds on each sides of one big penny sized emerald, shaped into a heart. Instead of hugging him due to my ice cream I fell into his chest again.

"Thank you, it's beautiful," I whispered.

"It looks dull and drab compared to you," he told me with more love in his voice.

I reached up and kissed his tempting lips. I pulled back after a while and said, "we're almost there. We should go before i end up with the ice cream melted in my hands."

He laughed and agreed, walking beside me with his hand on my waist, again.
