The sun shone faintly through the small hole in Yoongi's curtain that had been eaten away by a moth the previous week. They had finally gotten it to leave by leaving the window open for a few hours.
Yoongi woke before Victoria did. He was still laying on top of her, the sound of birds tweeting being the only audible sound aside from her slow breathing and his lips that finally parted into a gummy smile after being pressed together all night.
She just looked so peaceful and unsuspecting. It's not like he'd never seen her like that, but this time was different. Now he knew he could kiss her and get away with it. Since she liked it when he kissed her last night, why wouldn't she like it that morning? Especially if it was to wake her up. He knew she was a sucker for romantic things like that. If he could just show her that he and Jimin were capable of those things—and better than Hoseok—then she might agree to the arrangement Yoongi was starting to build up in his mind.
He moved to straddle her waist and dragged his lips over hers slowly while cradling her cheeks in his calloused hands, savoring the way her lips still tasted like cherries from the lip balm she wore the previous night. She took in a large breath, as he noticed she always did when waking up, so he detached his lips from hers and instead moved down to kiss her neck softly.
"Yoongi?" she mumbled, voice thick with sleep.
He chuckled, breath hot on her skin. "Who else could I be?" His voice was raspier than usual, which he knew made her blush from the numerous amounts of times he'd caught her turning away when he spoke to her first thing in the morning, heat crawling up her neck. "Hopefully Jimin, soon," he murmured to himself.
"What?" she asked, taking another breath as she began to really wake up.
Yoongi went back up to hover his face over hers and smiled before connecting their lips again. "Nothing."
She whined against his mouth, causing him to pull back and raise an eyebrow. "So it wasn't a dream?" she said while looking up at him. "We kissed last night..."
"Yeah," he responded warily and sat up. Did she not like it after all?
Victoria covered her face with her hands and whined again. "I'm so confused."
"Stop whining," he mumbled, getting off of her and sitting cross-legged next to her. "You're starting to sound like Jimin."
She lowered her hands to reveal wide-eyes. "Jimin!" She bolted up and started patting the blankets as if looking for something. "What time is it?"
Yoongi frowned, a bit disappointed. "It's eleven—"
"We need to leave!"
"Yeah, but can you hold on for a minute?"
"No! We're gonna be late to pick him up!"
Victoria's feet hit the floor with a thump and she raced into the living room to put shoes on. Yoongi couldn't help but kick himself. Perhaps he was too hasty. No—it was fine. He would just try again later. Slow and steady wins the race, right?
By the time they got to Incheon to pick Jimin up, he was so relieved to see them that he tried to run, but a limp in his right leg prevented him from doing so. Victoria immediately went into mother mode and examined him, trying to figure out what was wrong. He revealed that his evil grandmother stabbed him with a screwdriver. That made Yoongi mad.
They took him back to the apartment and babied him—well, at least Victoria did. Yoongi slapped his wound and said, "You're still alive, aren't you?"
Jimin swore at him—which he rarely did—and Victoria sent him out of the bathroom so she could clean up the wound without Yoongi interfering.
He wasn't trying to be a dick. He was just frustrated with himself. The thought crossed his mind that if he still had his personalities that Agust probably could've pulled it off. Because if Yoongi had been able to reel Victoria in, then Jimin would have been a piece of cake. They would probably be having a threesome right then instead of him getting yelled at for being too harsh.
It just takes time, he told himself. Patience is the key.
How wrong he was.
