10 April 2018

It was slightly confusing to Jimin that Victoria had been showing up a lot lately. She went to their apartment every morning and woke them—Yoongi said he gave her the passcode—as well as made them breakfast and sent them off to tackle the day.

After Jimin was discharged from the hospital with a clearly outlined nutritional plan, Victoria made sure he followed it exactly and scolded him if he wanted extra time at the dance room.

In all honesty, Jimin only went there to relieve the stress of having to deal with Yoongi's personalities, but they seemed to be coming out less as Victoria kept coming around.

Even when they came out, she handled it like it was nothing. She played with Yoonji's hair and assured her that Yoongi might grow it out more. She had dinosaur chicken nuggets ready for Suga when he woke from his naps. She helped Agust write lyrics and listened to his tracks.

Jimin was still recovering, but watching her become the most useful crutch ever was astonishing. How did she know about the personalities? It was a question he didn't dare ask her.

Then he didn't have to. Doctor Choi called him and commented on Yoongi's progress after one of their sessions. She mentioned how Victoria's presence seemed to be helping him. When she noticed Jimin's confused tone, she explained that with Yoongi's consent, Victoria went to visit the doctor.

It all left him speechless. How was it that this woman managed to take both Jimin and Yoongi's burdens onto her own shoulders? She figured it out with no help and just did it. He was amazed.

Maybe this is what it feels like, he thought. Maybe this is what it feels like to be taken care of.

By the third week of her help, she practically lived with them. She was there every day and often slept on the couch if there was an issue with Suga or if Jimin was feeling sad and needed company.

She was a saint in his eyes, and that's probably why he didn't yell his head off when he was rudely woken by the sound of the piano being played beautifully.

He recognized the technique and flow of the sound. It was definitely Yoongi's fingers working their magic.

Jimin shuffled out of his room on that Tuesday morning to find Yoonji sitting at the keys as Victoria watched her play with a fond smile. She stopped playing at Jimin's entry and flashed him Yoongi's gummy smile.

"Morning, Jiminie."

Victoria looked up at him contently. "Hey. Are you ready for some breakfast?"

Jimin rubbed his eyes groggily and nodded, still half asleep. Victoria stood and placed a hand on the small of his back before leading him to the kitchen stools.

"What are you guys in the mood for?"

Yoonji ran over to sit in the stool next to Jimin. "Red bean hotteok! You make it the best, Tori. It's so sweet."

She laughed from the other side of the counter and began to get ingredients out of the cupboards. "Not as sweet as you, Yoonji."

She giggled and Jimin smiled. He loved how things were at home now. Yoongi and his personalities were just happier in general. Especially Yoongi. It was just so refreshing. He wished things could stay like that forever.

"Are you okay, Jiminie?"

He turned to Victoria when she said that and only smiled wider. She was looking at him concernedly. "I'm wonderful."

Victoria softened at that and continued making the breakfast. "I'm glad."

Yoonji scooted closer to Jimin and rested her chin on his shoulder. "Yoongi's happier nowadays," she whispered, sending shivers down Jimin's spine. "I don't think he needs us anymore." Her voice was thinner than ice. "But Suga got upset when I said that. I think there's something he knows."

"Like what?" Jimin whispered back, compelled.

She shrugged before pulling away. "Mustn't tell."

"Yoonji—"

"Shh!"

Victoria stood at the stove making the breakfast that smelled so amazing. Jimin was grateful for her, but he couldn't shake the disturbance that shook through him at Yoonji's words.

Was there something that Yoongi wasn't telling him? Did something happen beyond what Jimin already knew to be true?

He didn't even realize he was rapidly tapping his fingers on the counter until Victoria covered them with her own. She leaned down close to his face to speak so only he could hear her.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

He hesitated as he stared into her brilliant eyes. Could he confide in her? Of course he could. He had to remind himself that she already knew everything that he did. She was now in the circle of trust. The only person he could talk to besides Doctor Choi.

Jimin gave her a weak smile. "I'll tell you later."
