i needed love, but you're too late now

chapter 10

jungkook's POV
good news, i got about zero sleep last night, i'm so tired. all that i could do was toss and turn and worry about namjoon. worry about if he's ok or if he needs help or if he just needs someone to talk to. ugh, i hate my brain. but i'm trying to not think about that because today is friday and since my college is out for summer break, i have a lot of free time. so, more time to spend with my- *ahem* my FRIEND namjoon. i think today i'll ask the others if they want to come and see namjoon with me.

goldenkookie: hey tae i was wondering if you and jimin would like to come see namjoon with me today?

specialhoe<3: yeah sure we would love to. want to meet at the hospital at 10?

goldenkookie: that sounds good. oh, can i talk to you in private for a little bit before we see namjoon?

specialhoe<3: yeah alright, is everything ok??

goldenkookie: no not at all, i really need someone to talk to right now

specialhoe<3: ok then, i'll always be here jungkook <3. see you at the hospital ok?

goldenkookie: ok, see you there

sunshineboi: i can try to make it but i don't know if i'll be able to. i was trying to make plans to hang out with youngjae today but he hasn't responded yet. what time were you planning on meeting at the hospital?

goldenkookie: at 10. you were trying to make plans with your boyfriend at 9am? who does that?

sunshineboi: ok, i'll give it another 9 minutes and if he doesn't respond i'll just say never mind i'm going to the hospital to see namjoon. also, i do that. i mean, if you start earlier in the day that just means to get to spend more time with them!

goldenkookie: ok, text me when you know what the plans are. yeah true but it's 9...in the m o r n i n g. that is WAY too early for a date!

i turned off my phone and headed down to the kitchen to ask yoongi and jin the same thing. well i mean, if yoongi is actually awake right now. plus, i could smell jin cooking breakfast and since i didn't eat dinner last night i am starving. "good morning jin hyung," i greeted. "good morning kookie! you look absolutely exhausted, how much sleep did you get last night?" "about like an hour, my mind was filled with thoughts about namjoon and i couldn't sleep." jin gave me his classic worried mom look and i knew i should quickly change the subject or else he's going to give me a full on therapy session. "so, i'm going back to hospital today and i know jimin and taehyung are coming and maybe hoseok, i was wondering if you and yoongi would like to come?" "i don't think that we have anything going on today so i'm pretty sure we're free. let me go ask yoongi, i'll be right back. and make sure to eat some breakfast, you literally look like a stick," jin said before leaving the room in search of yoongi. i grabbed a plate of bacon and eggs with toast, and it was fucking delicious. i was almost done with my plate when i received a text from hoseok.

sunshineboi: youngjae still hasn't responded so i'll see you at the hospital at 10

goldenkookie: ok, see you there hobi hyung

i quickly finished my breakfast and put the plate in the sink. if i wanted to get there on time i would have to leave in the next two minutes. i'm about to go and try and find the couple but then i see jin and his majesty enter the room. "after forever of trying to get him out of bed the sleeping beauty finally agreed to wake up," jin said. yoongi just gave a quiet grumble and said something under his breath, but it was so quiet that i couldn't make out what he said. jin must've heard what he said because i saw him give yoongi a smack on the head. "hey!" yoongi shouted. "guys! if we want to get to the hospital on time we have to leave like right now!" i said interrupting their banter. after that jin started waking out the door to the car and we quickly followed him.

at the hospital

we arrived at the hospital only about three minutes late and walked in to immediately see our other friends, with jimin giving me a heavy stink eye. huh, that's weird. my eyes suddenly landed on taehyung as he was walking towards me. "hey do you want to talk now?" he asked me. "yes please." we left the group saying we just wanted to talk in private for a little bit and then walked to somewhere that no one could hear us. "taehyung thank you so much for doing this i just really-" "hey jungkook, could i actually say something first?" "oh um yeah, go ahead." "look i'm sorry...but i'm not interested." "what are you talking about?" "we came here earlier than i expected so me and jimin went to go see namjoon for a little bit and...he told us about how you liked me. jimin immediately stormed out of the room and i just...i'm sorry jungkook but i'm in love with jimin." no no no no this wasn't supposed to happen. "taehyung wait no i didn't-" "no jungkook you don't have to explain yourself. i understand that you can't control who you like but you know how protective jimin is and i feel like i'm cheating on him when i'm around you so since we already had our talk with namjoon, we're leaving. goodbye jungkook, i'll probably talk to you soon enough." and with that, taehyung left me. just left me, there all alone. what the hell just happened? taehyung doesn't want to be your friend anymore you idiot. don't you get that?! no no...no. i start sprinting to the nearest bathroom running past jin, yoongi, and hoseok. they're all yelling at me to stop but i don't care. i finally reached the bathroom while locking myself in one of the stalls and just dropped to my knees and started crying, praying that nobody else was in here. what have i done what have i done what have i done what have i done? oh god oh god oh god! all i did in that stall for the rest of the time was think about how i just destroyed two of the closest friendships i have.

hey everyone! i know that it's something different to not have namjoon show up in a chapter but i wanted to focus more on jungkook for this one (and more honestly the author just thought this chapter was getting too long so just decided to leave it off at a horrible place). don't worry! namjoon and the others will appear a LOT more in the next chapter. but until then, this is what you're left with...woot woot. i'd like to thank anyone who is reading/enjoying this story! really means a lot to me :3! also, I'M FINALLY OUT OF SCHOOL LIKE YES YOUR BITCH IS FINALLY FREE. ONLY LIKE FOR THE NEXT 2 AND A HALF MONTHS BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I'LL TAKE IT. *ahem* anyways, i hope you all enjoy the rest of your day/night <3!
