Chapter 18- Superior

"What can I get y'all to drink?" Said the Texan waitress. "All sweet teas please." Tails said politely. "Okay. Thank you I'll be right back." She said with a smile. "See, now her I like! She isn't hitting on anyone.." Cream said pouting. Tails remembered what Knuckles said, and he kissed her on the cheek without thinking. Amy looked over and saw Sonic in a trance with himself. "Sonic. Sonniiicccc..." She said softly. He kept staring into deep space for a second. He blinked rapidly and looked back at Amy.

"Ye-yeah Ames?" He said smiling. "Are you okay?" She said strangely. "Yeah yeah I'm just, yeah." He said trying to act normal. "Uhh... Is your head on straight?" Amy asked. "I'm just... Thinking of Silver." Every time he said that he was usually depressed. But, he smiled at Amy while he said it.

"Here are your drinks." The waitress came back. Cream waited for another wink. But, no wink was given. "See Cream, she didn't wink." Amy said happily hugging Sonic's arm. "Yeah, oh well. All swell and ends well." Cream said smiling at Tails. "Hey Sonic, can you hand me a napkin, my drink is sweating bad." She said to him. He reached over and grabbed her a napkin. "Hey Tails can-"

*BBBBBOOOOMMMMM!* a big part of the ceiling fell down. A junk of concrete and metal fell onto their group. Screams filled the restaurant. People were running out of the bar and grill. "What the heck!" Tails yelled, helping Cream up.

"You thought you could hide. You thought you could run. You thought you could escape me." Metal Sonic said as he hovered into the restaurant. "Hmm, funny I didn't think you would recover this fast runt." He said laughing. "Guys run!" Sonic yelled picking Amy up. They took off out the doors. Metal Sonic boosted off after the blue hedgehog.

They were out side, and the robot wasn't far behind. "Tails! Grab the girls and get to the car." Sonic said with an angry look. "Sonic we aren't leaving." Amy said. "Yes you are. GO!" He yelled to the top of his lungs. "Amy..." Tails said as she looked at him. They all ran to the car, except Sonic. "All right you robotic piece of crap.. Let's finally settle this!" Sonic yelled taking is scarf off.

"Excellent." The robot said. Sonic saw it fly towards him but it didn't hit him. It flew past them, and grabbed Amy. "Amy!" Sonic yelled as it slowly flew higher in the air with her in one hand. "No! Please let her go! I'm the one you want!" Sonic yelled from his knees. The robot accepted, and glided back down to the ground. He threw Amy seven feet away. "Amy!" He yelled as loud as he could, and ran over to her.

"Amy! Stay with me!" He said to her with tears. "Sonic, I'm all right. Just- just go best the bolts out of him.." Amy said faintly. Amy faded off. "Hahahah!" What are you going to do runt? You can't. Do. Anything!" It said laughing. It looked at Sonic. His fur grew dark blue. And his eyes lost it's colors. White stripes went down his forehead to his back top quills.
