"Hey!"
I laughed as the group of students shouted as I opened my front door. I smiled, "Come on in!" I nodded to everyone that passed, feeling satisfied that the first group had been nearly a dozen people. I smoothed out my red dress, which came to just above my knees and cut in a low v-neck. My bright blonde hair was pinned to the side, and I was more than ready for a party.
Within the next half hour, my house was filled with drunken teenagers, all of them dancing and singing as loud as they could. I thanked the world that my mother had taken my siblings to my aunt's for the night.
"Hey, gorgeous."
Suddenly hands were on my waist, and I spun around to find John Klas holding me against him. I could smell his breath, reaking of vodka and beer. I bit my lip, "Make a move, John Klas," I said in a sexy tone.
He smirked, pressing his lips onto my mouth. He pulled me down onto the sofa, moving his mouth vigoursly against mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck, opening my eyes for a quick glance at the party. John continued kissing down my neck, but I caught a glimpse of Aiden. He just stepped through the door, looking around like he was lost. He ran a hand through his tassled brown hair and stuck his hands in his pockets.
I pushed John off of me, "I'm sorry," I whispered and got up off the couch. I pushed my way through the crowd, trying to make my way to Aiden without getting stopped by another jock or one of the girls.
"AJ," I said finally, tapping Aiden's shoulder. He turned around, a smile lighting up his face once he saw me. I bit my lip in a smile, "I thought I told you not to be late."
Aiden smirked, "I thought I'd be fashionably late."
I smiled, and suddenly hands were on my waist again. "Babe, don't leave like that," John whispered in my ear as he pressed his lips against my neck. I swallowed, suddenly feeling utterly embarassed that Aiden was standing in front of me. He put a hand on the back of his neck, looking away awkwardly.
I sighed, pushing John's hands off, "I'll be back in a second. Go get another beer."
John shot Aiden a glare, but he did as I said and disappeared into the kitchen. Aiden glanced up at me, a smirk on his face, "So you are just another popular girl."
I gulped, shaking my head, "No, I'm not."
Aiden scoffed, "You could've fooled me," he spun around and began walking through the crowd of teens to reach the kitchen.
I licked my lips, running a hand through my hair. "Damn it," I whispered, elbowing my way through to get back to the living room, the only open place where you could dance.
After a few more drinks and grinding against several different guys, I was plowed, hyper, and ready to do something even more crazy. I climbed up onto the coffee table and threw my hands in the air, moving my hips in small circles. The guys whistled, and soon everyone was clapping to the music as I shook my head back and forth along with my hips.
"You go girl!" someone shouted.
"Go Peyton!"
"Move that body!"
I laughed, moving up and down like a stripper would. I glanced out at the audience, stopping my dancing for a moment. Everyone gave a last whistle then grabbed a partner and started dancing to the beat. I narrowed my eyes on Aiden, whom was leaning against the wall by himself, his arms crossed over his chest. I shook my head, jumping off the table and storming right over to him.
I grabbed his hand, pulling him onto the dancefloor, "You have no impression still," I whispered in his ear.
I dropped his hand and put my hands flat against his shoulders, dancing along with the rest of the crowd. I moved against him so my body was pressed against his, and I began swaying my hips back and forth.
To my surprise, Aiden placed his hands on my waist and danced against me. Soon everyone formed a circle, cheering along to our rhythm. I breathed hard, grabbing his hand and spinning myself down to the floor and back up again. Whistles rang out, and I ran my hands down Aiden's body until I reached the floor, still moving my body with the music. I twirled back up, tugging at his collar so his chest would press against mine.
People cheered, and Aiden clutched my hand, spinning me away from him. I took a breath and suddenly was spun right back towards him. I fell into him, my hands catching his chest, his hands grabbing onto my waist. My body was pressed against him, my face only inches away. We were both panting, and with a final cheer everyone returned to their dancing.
Neither of us spoke, just stared at eachother as we fought for breath. Aiden licked his lips, dropping his hands and backing away from me. He turned around and pushed his way into the kitchen. I cursed under my breath, storming after him until I found him sucking back a beer. I spun him around to face me, "You just gonna walk away?"
Aiden raised an eyebrow, "We were done dancing."
I licked my lips, "Now you have a good first impression."
He smirked, brushing past me then began walking backwards so he could face me, "What? Dancing with the most popular girl in school? So a man whore is my first impression? Not exactly what I wanted."
He turned around and stormed out the front door with a beer bottle in hand. I stomped after him, slamming the door shut behind me, letting the night air sober me up.
"Who the hell do you think you are!" I shouted.
Aiden turned to me, "I'm Aiden Jackson."
I scoffed, crossing my arms over my chest, "I should've let you struggle at the bottom of the school. I should've bitched you out at that lunch table!"
"Then why didn't you? That was only yesterday, Peyton. Don't act like you know me!" he argued.
"Don't act like you know me!" I retorted, "You think I'm just some dumb slut because I'm popular?"
He nodded, raising his hands in the air, "Yea, yea I do! But not just because you're popular," he stopped to let out a hysterical laugh, "But because of the way you act. You can tell me over and over again that you're different. But guess what, Peyton. From the new kid to the popular girl," he spat, "Actions speak louder than words."
I watched in awe, speechless as he cut across his lawn towards his house. He stepped inside and flung his beer bottle at my driveway, the glass shattering against the concrete.
"Have a wonderful night!" he said sarcastically, slamming the door before I could even react.
I stomped my high heel down on the ground, letting out a throaty scream, "You stupid new kid! Go back to wherever you came from!" I shouted, storming back into my house.
The few people by the door stared at me curiously, but it was obvious that over the music no one else could hear. Good. That would make me look weak, that someone could get me that riled up. I pushed my way through to the living room to find Liana making out with Drew on the couch. I glanced around, finally finding John Klas.
I smirked, waltzing up to him and slamming my lips down on his. He grabbed my waist, firstly looking stunned, then he just pushed his mouth more into mine. I pulled away, "Come on."
I led him down the hallway towards the guest room, and I pushed open the door and shoved him inside. I locked it tight behind me, stepping forwards and pushing him down onto the bed. I crawled onto him and mended my lips with his, grabbing onto the collar of his shirt. He moaned into my mouth as he undid the zipper on my dress. I fumbled with his shirt buttons, but all the while I wasn't thinking of him.
I was thinking of Aiden's words.
I was no different at all.
