One of these times happened when our marriage was just a pup, leading to us becoming farmers for the rest of our working lives (and nearing two decades of retirement years so far). Against all advice and the odds, we chose to leave the city and pursue our dream of working towards our own farm some distant day.
Just like the quote above, we DID listen to our instincts, defied so-called 'good sense' and took up the challenge. This success taught us to try this every time in the future when decisions loomed. Serendipity called that time in the guise of a friend who needed a couple of willing hands for a couple of years - cheerfully coinciding with a time when the call of the country was loud in our ears and hearts... and all things were possible in our imaginations.
Like the title of Judith McNaught's book, we clearly 'Remember When'.
