And so was the diamond from my engagement ring - lost after 35 years on my finger. The shock devastated me, especially as the treasured stone was never found, and although insurance paid for it to be replaced, the sense of loss has never really left me. But it followed other personal losses that combined to teach me to truly go with the flow; that all things have beginnings... and endings; that your heart IS big enough to keep many pockets of memory of losses without stopping Life from taking its destined path.
