Jughead and I walked through the door.

"Surprise!" Everyone yelled.

"This is why we left the double feature?" He asked me. He went in for a "bro" hug with Archie.

"Happy birthday, bro." Archie said.

"Hey, you really shouldn't have. You reek. Are you drunk?" Jughead said quietly.

"No." Archie said back. After that everyone was greeting Jughead with Birthday wishes and so on.
Jughead met Joaquin. Soon the lights dimmed and Betty walked in with a birthday cake. Betty sang.

"That was haunting, Betty," He laughed lightly.

"Blow out the candles and make a wish." She said. Jughead looked at me.

"I wish it was just the two of us right now."He whispered then blew out the candles. After that we all started mingleing.

"Whos idea, was it to through a party?"He asked me. I looked at Betty. He noded. We went into the kitchen, Veronica was upset with her dad, then Jughead and Betty were head to head. Everything was cut off with the door bell ringing.

"How many more people did you invite?" Jughead asked.

"No one, inner circle only." Betty protested as we all walked to the door. The door opened and in walked half of the school, Cheryl leading.

"Did you really think you could have a party without inviting moi?" Cheryl said, then the worst thing happened. Chuck walked in.

"Or me?" He said. Betty, Veronica and I all looked at eachother.

"Archie, where do you want the kegs?"Moose asked. I stared at Archie.

"Screw it. One in the kitchen, one in the backyard." Archie yelled with a big grin. Jughead didn't look happy, everyone moved out of the door way, while I walked after Jughead.

I looked all over the house for Jughead. One place Ididn't look was the gorage. I walked out, shimmying through the big group of people and made my way their. As I walked in Jughead and Archie were argueing that Archie shouldn't have let this happen.

"It was Betty's idea."Archie said.

"It's so not me."Jughead replied.

"It doesn't matter, you two got all buddy buddy, and now she thinks you like her back."Archie replied.

"You know that was a mistake."

"Well Jughead, Y/N was never that hurt before. You basicly ruined her."

"Stop." I said. They both looked at me.

"We all make mistakes, I am a forgiving person. I won't forget, but it needs to stop being brought up."
They both looked directly at me. A knock on the door got us out of our "staring" contest. Mr.Jones walked in.

"Dad, hey." Jughead stood up. Mr.Jones walked up to him handing him a box.

"Happy birthday, Jughead." He said.

"How are you, Mr.Jones?" Archie asked.

"Happy to be here, celebrating with my son. Didn't relize you had so many friends."

"I don't. Fair warning your the only adult here."

"Dad, Betty call you?" Jughead asked.

"Yeah, she came by too. She knows what she wants, that one. I'll be back." He went inside. Jughead looked at me and Archie.

"Why? Someone did mention to Betty I hate my brithday right?" Jug asked.

"Archie and I, yeah. She didn't listen." I said. Betty walked into the gorage.

"You do know my dad has a drinking problem, right?" Jughead asked.

"I didn't plan on their being alcoho. I didn't plan on Chuck and Cheryl and the rest of the school crashing, okay?" Betty said.

"You two and Archie are my friends." Jughead said.

"Including Veronica. Including Kevin, they are people I would have shunned two months ago."

"Why?" Betty asked.

"In case you haven't noticed, I'm weird. I'm a weirdo. I don't fit in, and I don't wanna fit in. Have you ever seen me without this hat on? That's weird."

"It's just a party Jug."

"It's not just a party. It's the fact that you don't know or even care that this is the last thing I would want. To prove what?"Jughead said a bit louder.

"Does it ever occur to you how different we are?" He looks at me.

"Y/N, is a lot similar to me. She understands where I come from with these types of things." He looked at her again.

"You are perfect, I am the damaged loner outsider from the wrong side of the tracks. Betty come on.Who are we trying to kid. We're on borrowed time."He said

"What the hell is that supossed to mean?" Betty had tears in her eyes.

"Betty, I'm not one of your projects, okay? Like solving Jason murder." Jughead yelled.

"No. You're not a project. Your my best friend." She yelled back.

"But your treating me-us like we're more. Betty we aren't together. I made a mistake" He said looking in her eyes. She walked out very upset. I followed him and her. I watched Cheryl and Chuck stop him at the door.

"Listen up party people. Everyone has their secrets. And we've all done our share of sinning. That's one thing my dear brothers death has revealed. So lets play a little game to get those secrets out and in the open." Cheryl smirked. We all gathered around in the den.

"What the hell is "Secrets and Sins"?" Jughead asked.

"WIts a variation on "Truth or Dare" in which we own our truths by telling it like it is." Cheryl replied.

"I'll start the game with Veronica Lodge." Chery turned to Veronica.

"Naturally." She said.

"Let's begin with the day you and your mob wife of a mother came to town for a so-called fresh start. Tell us, Veronica, what's so fresh about defiling Archie Andrews in the closet?" Cheryl said.

"That was your doing." V said.

"Moving on to dear Daddy Lodge. Isn't it true that your father, from prison, illegally purchased the drive-in land? Which makes me wonder what else is he doing from behind bars?" Cheryl said.

"Well, I can't speak for my father, but I can think of someone with a very dirty secret. Specifically, Cheryl killing her very own brother." Veronica hit back hard.

"Everyone knows how much I love my brother." Cheryl said with a sad look.

"But, did you love him maybe in ways a sister shouldn't love a brother? And as you got olswe, Jason started to think it was strange, unnatural. So he chose Polly over you. So you shot him between the eyes with one of your father's many hunting rifles." Veronica smirked.

"I wanna go." Doiley spoke up.

"Thats the spirit!" Chcuk said.  I stoped listening. What brouth me back to reality was Chuck running his mouth.

"I got a twisted secret to reveal. Start Betty, Veronica and Y/N." Chuck looked at the three of us. Jughead looked at me then at Chuck.
"These three drugged me. Handcuffed me in a Jacuzzi. Well, I almost drowned until they got me to say what they wanted to hear. Honestly, I would have wished it was only Y/N she was the only one to show some sort of feeling, not full blown cruelness." Chuck started to turn, Jughead punched him as hard as he could. Jughead got punched into a table. FP brought Chuck and most other kids outside. I quickly helped Jug. Me and Jughead started walking. FP stoped us.

"Go back inside and talk to Betty."FP said.

"No. I don't think the friendship I have with her is gonna work." FP looked at me and nodded.

"You two, don't walk away from those friends. I get it, you have eachother. It's been like that since you were little. But you got some good friends. You need to keep them." FP walked away.
