TAEHYUNG'S POV

"You're drinking?"

I lift my head lazily to see Namjoon approaching me with a cigarette pack in his hand, which he tucks into his jacket pocket. I ignore him and don't say anything.

Namjoon sits next to me and pats me gently. "You shouldn't be afraid of me. I'm Yoongi's friend after all. What made you drink right now?"

"None of your business," I retort, slightly annoyed. He found me sitting inside the bar. The barista notices Namjoon and smirks. Yeah, Namjoon does look good; I can agree.

"Taehyung, I didn't come here to be your psychic, but I can clearly see you're upset. You never drink, right?" Namjoon smiles back at the barista, who seems pleased to have Namjoon's attention again. "Beautiful, give me your best beer."

"You're friends with Seokjin, Jungkook, and Park Jimin. I'm not going to talk to you."

"Seokjin? Damn, I'd be thankful if he could disappear, bro. And Jungkook? You still think I'm with him?" Namjoon shakes his head and sighs. "Bro, no."

"Don't call me a bro!" I shout angrily and stand up to leave, but Namjoon grabs my hand. He makes me stay still.

"Stop denying yourself. Yoongi hyung trusts me because I respect him more than anyone else in this world. Why can't you understand and sit still with me?"

"Because you're from the Black army."

"What about you? You were in the same team not so long ago?" Namjoon sees his beer being given by the barista, so he releases his hand and takes it. "Thanks, beautiful."

It hurts to remember that I was on the wrong side before. Now that I remember, Namjoon and I were the only ones who didn't want to fight or be part of Jungkook's plans. Namjoon tried to leave that life filled with fights behind.

"I just want to get my sister back," I say, feeling teary and helpless. Namjoon looks around and sighs.

"I know. I don't like Yuja being with Jungkook, but let me say that I have a plan to find out where she is now."

I bite my lip and look at him with a glimmer of hope that he isn't lying. "What do you mean, 'where she is now'? She's in the Black army's loft, of course."

Namjoon shakes his head and takes a big sip of his beer. "No, Jungkook isn't stupid. He only trusts Seokjin from his team, not even that idiot Park Jimin who follows him like a puppy. So, of course, he won't let her stay in our loft. He has another place, I bet, but I don't know where it is."

"I'll never find her," I say, feeling deeply saddened. I can't stay in this place any longer. I quickly leave money for the drink and exit, leaving Namjoon inside.

Unfortunately, he follows me.

"Stop acting like a small kid, Taehyung. Yoongi won't help you, I know him. He's feeling desperate and depressed now. You need to give him alone time, so don't you dare to disturb him with your 'please, find my sister' drama."

"You're so cruel, Kim Namjoon," I say, looking at the ground. The stress weighs heavily on my shoulders.

"Will I still be cruel if I say that I have a plan to find out where the place is? You need to learn how to trust the right people, bro. You're all the same as your sister."

"Don't talk about her like that!" I angrily shout at him, but he remains quiet and calm.

He's too smart to be affected by my depressingly stupid behavior. I need to be clever and bring him to my side. Trusting Kim Namjoon is the only thing I can do to save Yuja.

"I'll do anything. Just be with me and help me get her back," I say, my face filled with sadness. Namjoon comes closer to me and suddenly hugs me. I don't resist because all I need right now is a supportive friend.

LATER

"Look, you don't have claustrophobia, right?"

I can't listen to Namjoon clearly; I'm inside the Black army's house. It has been a long time since I last entered this hellish place. Everything is the same, dark and cheap. I remember how Jungkook didn't care about his members but only himself, not providing us with anything for safety. We had to buy guns with our own money.

Yoongi used all his money to make the White army powerful and unassailable. We had better gadgets and other necessities than all this rubbish here.

"No, I'm fine," I answer, not fully grasping what kind of plan Namjoon is concocting. Thank goodness, the flat is almost completely empty. No Jongin, no Sehun, or that new girl Jimin always tries to flirt with. I'm not sure if it's real or not.

"Okay, so now you hide in Jungkook's room's closet and stay completely still there."

"Wait, that's a total suicide! I'm not going anywhere!" I start to panic; of course, I do! If Kim Seokjin sees me hiding somewhere, he won't show any mercy. We're not friends anymore.

Namjoon rolls his eyes and scans the room. "Aish, Kim Taehyung, you must listen to me. It's the only way to reveal Jungkook's secret place."

I still can't trust his plan. "How do you know your plan is going to work?"

"You stay in the closet. Silent. I will make sure to bring that idiot Seokjin here together with Park Jimin. Believe me. I already got Jimin on my side not long ago." Namjoon sighs, trying to flash me a reassuring smile, but I'm still in shock.

"You mean, Jimin...-"

"Yes, Jimin isn't completely loyal to Seokjin. I told him some nasty things about him, so he doesn't really like Jin anymore. In other words, I exposed Seokjin. So promise me you'll listen to everything they say to each other. I'm almost one hundred percent sure Seokjin will tell Jimin about Jungkook's place."

"The Kims are really powerful," I say slowly, my voice deep. Namjoon laughs shortly. "What if Jin sees you?"

"I'll say I came here to pick something up from my room, and that's it. He's not that bright; he'll fall for it. And yes, we're powerful, but not every Kim." He winks and tells me to quickly go to Jungkook's room.

Surprisingly, it's unlocked.

Maybe Jungkook doesn't have anything to hide?

When I stand in the middle of his room, memories flood back.

How we used to play computer games in our free time. How we drank fizzy drinks and ate five packs of chips each because we wanted to see who could eat the most.  How we tried to salvage our friendship, but Jungkook became so vengeful and selfish that I didn't want to be friends anymore.

It hurts to relive those memories when Jungkook cursed me with his disgusting words and told me to leave the Black army.

And that was just because I didn't want to be as bad as he was.

"Why aren't you doing this yourself? Why involve me?" I ask Namjoon when I see him coming toward me after checking if no one else is here.

"Stay calm and don't freak out. I'll explain everything later, bro. Now hide in the closet and don't make a sound. Please, make me proud of you, and don't mess this up," his words echo in my ears, making me shiver. I won't be relaxed; my two enemies will be standing here, and I'm supposed to remain calm? That's a big deal for me.

"Mh-m," I gulp and nod. After a moment, Namjoon leaves the room, and I do as he told me.

I'm doing everything for my sister, my most important person in my life.

I will do well. I will do well.
