Chapter 2

I was woken up by the smell coming from the kitchen. I groaned and slowly opened my eyes. "Good morning" someone said. Oh right Lena stayed over last night. I got up and stumbled to the kitchen. "Good morning" I said while i took a seat. "I made pancakes." She said. I took some happily. "Thanks for letting me stay here last night." She said. "Oh, it's no problem really, you're always welcome here." I smiled. "You didn't have to sleep on the couch. We could've shared the bed." She said. I gave her an awkward smile and continued eating. "How did you carry me to the bed anyways." She grinned. "Oh i uh, i have been working out." I said nervous. She laughed. I put my plate with the rest of the dishes. "Well, i should head back to my apartment now so i can get a fresh change of clothes." She said. "Oh, you can just borrow something of mine." I said. "No offense Kara, but i don't think CEO's wear merch to work." She laughed. "You're right sorry." I said. "You do look good in them though." I said. Shit. She smiled. She took her things and headed to the door. "Thanks for last night, i had nice time. See you soon i hope." She said before she left.

I was working on my article when Alex called.
"Kara there is a bank robbery at waterloo street." She said. I ripped my shirt and flew out of the window. I can't believe that people still try these robberies, haven't they heard about supergirl. I mean me. I got to the bank and two guys in mask were already shooting. "Hey!!" I said. They turned to look at me and started shooting at me. Sigh, bullets still don't work on me. I unarmed them. Well the job is done here. I was about to leave when i heard someone approach from behind. I turned around but it was too late. He shot me with two bullets, must be laced with kryptonite. I collapsed and screamed in pain. Before i knew it the cops shot the guy. I felt a darkness pulling me down. Soon i lost consciousness.

When i woke up again i was in the DEO. I was all too familiar with the yellow sunlight lamps. "What happened." I mumbled. "You were shot with kryptonite bullets." Alex said. I sighted. "We have him in holding but he won't talk." She said. I sat up slowly. "Where did he even get the kryptonite from?" I asked. "Well there is only one person in town who has kryptonite, Kara." She said while looking down. "Lena wouldn't do this. I know we don't get along right now but she would never try to hurt me like that!" I said. "Maybe someone stole the formula of kryptonite from Lena." Alex said. "Nevertheless, we have to interrogate her." She said. This is a bad idea i thought. She will only resent me for thinking she had to do something with it. I tried talking to Alex but she said i had to do it anyways. So i put my personal feelings aside and flew to L-corp. I landed on Lena's balcony at L-corp. She was looking at some blue prints but when she noticed me she quickly put it away. "Supergirl, what are you doing here." She asked. "I have to ask you some questions on behalf of the DEO." I said. She nodded. "What is this about, supergirl." She said. "You may have heard that yesterday i was shot with kryptonite bullets." I was cut of. "And you think i have something to do with that?" She said angry. "No of course not. i just have to ask if someone may have stolen your formula." I said. "L-corp's recourses are very well secured supergirl." She said. "Then how do you explain this. We got rid of our Kryptonite! No one attacked me with it until you figured out the formula!" I said. "So you do think it was me. You've already lost your trust in me. I don't know why you came here when you obviously already have made up your mind." She said. "Lena.." I said. "I should've known it would only be a matter of time until you would just see me as another Luther." She said. "You can leave the way you came in." She turned her back to me. I quickly walked to her balcony and flew off.

I don't know how long i have been flying. Sometimes when i'm upset i just like to fly around the city. It's peaceful, looking at all those people. It's fascinating, behind every tear or smile a different story. I was thinking about Lena again. She has been haunting my thoughts a lot. She sounded so upset when i asked her. Then she brought up the Luther name. That's when i knew i had screwed up. I never wanted to hurt her. I would never think she was just another Luther. She's one of the kindest person i know. She's nothing like Lillian or Lex, she's compassionate and loving, which neither of them are capable off. They are only ruled by hate. I only ruined our relationship further today. She was never going to forgive me was she. She has lost faith in me.

"We still haven't got any lead to how he got kryptonite?" I said. "No, not yet. He won't talk." Alex said. It's been two days and we still haven't gotten any closer. Lena won't tell us anything, but i doubt she has anything to do with it. The interrogations haven't gotten us any further either. Maybe i should go talk to him i thought. I make my way to the holding cells without being seen. I don't think Alex would let me after all. "If it isn't the super herself." He said pleased. "Where did you get the kryptonite." I said angry. He laughed. "Do you really think i would tell you anything." He said. "Where did you get it." I said again. "You think you scare me, supergirl." He laughed. That comment made me lose my patience completely. I opened his cell and pinned him against the wall. "Tell me!!" I screamed. "Ohh, scary." He said. I was about to punch him when Alex came in. "Supergirl, stop!" She said. I threw him on the ground and walked away angrily. Alex came after me. "What the hell was that, Kara?" She said angry. "I specifically told you not to talk to him." She said. "Yeah, but i can interrogate Lena right. She only hates me more now." I said with tears in my eyes. "Kara i'm sorry. I know you don't get along but hate is strong word." She said. She gave me a hug. "If she would know my identity she would never speak to me again." I said. "You don't know that, Kara." Alex said. "Why don't you go home, we have got it handled here. If something comes up we will call you okay?" She said. I nodded. I flew home. I changed into my pajamas and decided to go to bed. I just want this day to be over.

Meanwhile.
"The first tests have promising test results." She said. I nodded. "Start phase 2."
