Chapter 7

I woke up the next morning in Lena's room at L-corp. Lena had put some fresh clothes on the table. I change in the bathroom.

I'm doing my hair in the bathroom when i hear a knock on the door. "Come in." I shout. "Good morning." Lena said. "Morning." I said. I smiled at her. She looked beautiful. She was wearing a tight black dress. "I called Alex, she's coming to pick you up." She said. I nodded. She's going to be pissed. Get ready for a lecture. "I'll pick you up tonight. If you still want to stay at my place of course." She said. "I'll see you tonight." I said. She smiled. "Okay, i'm going back to work." She said. She gave me a hug and left the room.

I heard my phone ringing.
Alex:
*i'm here.*

I took the elevator down stairs and walked to the exit. Alex's car was parked across the street. I got into her car. She drove to my apartment. It was deadly silent. I knew this wasn't going to be good. She parked her car and walked me to my apartment. "What were you thinking?!" Alex said. "You're no way near healthy enough to walk all the way to L-corp." She screamed. "I just wanted to see Lena." I said. "Your hopeless crush is going to get you killed." Alex said. "So you think i don't have a chance with her, thanks Alex. You know you don't have to worry about it anyways, i made a complete fool out of myself. She's never going to like me now." I said. I flopped on the couch. "That's not what i meant. Besides Lena mentioned you are going to stay with her a few days." She said. "Yeah, out of pity probably." I sighted. "Stop, she adores you obviously." She said. I looked at her. I didn't feel like talking about this anymore. Alex was right, my crush was completely hopeless. Lena's was never going to see me that way. Why would she. She's probably straight anyways. She dated that Jack guy for a long time. I know that Lena has only dated incredible scientists and James. So why would the CEO of a billion dollar company, like a simple reporter from CatCo.

"How are things at the DEO." I asked trying to change the subject. "It's fine, nothing much is happening i guess. We still haven't found any lead for the guys that attacked you." She said. That means they still have the girl probably. Well i can't do anything for now. I'm useless. Nothing seems to be changing in my condition. I'm really started to worry. What if i would stay like this forever. When i was younger all i wanted was to fit in. Be human just like the others. But i have grown to love having these powers. I love being Supergirl. I couldn't lose that now. "I miss it, flying and helping people." I tell Alex. "You'll get your powers back. You just need some rest." She said. "I'm tired of resting." I said. "There's nothing else to do for now, i'm sorry." She said. "Just don't exhaust yourself like you did yesterday, it will only take longer for you to heal." Alex said. I knew she was right. I only made things worse. With Lena really and my body. I promised myself i would safe that girl. I can't let her down, no more crazy walks to the other side of town. "Well i have to go, i'll call you sis." Alex said. She left. I was all by myself again. I guess i'll just watch netflix. Again.

I was waiting for Lena to pick me up. She said she was on her way. I packed some pajamas and toothbrush and stuff like that. I didn't want to bring too much. After all, I didn't know what she meant with "a while" I didn't want to embarrass myself by packing too much. I could always come back anyways. I heard a knock on the door. I quickly looked in the mirror. I opened the door. "Hey! Let me get my bag." I said. Lena waited at the door.

We walked to Lena's car. I was used to Lena having a driver all the time, but this time she was driving herself. Of course, she had one hell of expensive car. She held the door open for me, so i could get in. I smiled. What a gentlewoman. I saw her smile as well. Lena got in as well and started driving. "I was going to get some groceries sooner but i was caught up in work, so i hope you don't mind getting some right now." She said. "Sure." I said. "I guess you can help decide what we are eating for dinner." She said. "Oh, you don't have to cook." I said. "But you're my guest. Besides i like to cook." She said. "Alright, but no kale." I said. "No kale, i promise." She laughed.

She parked the car and we walked to the grocery store. She got a shopping cart. I offered to push it, she refused but eventually i won. It was kind of nice to lean on it. After she asked me a thousand times what i wanted to eat, and me telling her that everything is fine. She decided to make spaghetti. She knows i like Italian food. On our way to the cash desk, we walked through the candy section. I was looking at all the candy like a toddler. Lena must have noticed. "Just take as much candy as you want, Kara, i'm buying." She laughed at me. I quickly grabbed cookies and candy. "I don't think i've ever seen a 28 year old smile that much over candy." Lena said. "Don't make fun off me. Food is the best thing on earth." I said in defense. "You say that like you're an alien." She said. Shit. "Me? An alien, don't be ridiculous." I said. "I know, silly. You did my test remember." She said.

When we got home, Lena's apartment i meant, Lena started to cook and i lay down for a while. Not that i had a choice, Lena demanded me to get out of the kitchen. I wasn't even that tired.

Lena woke me up an hour later. "Dinner is ready." She said. I sat down across from Lena, where she had placed my plate. She put the spaghetti and sauce on my board. I yawned. "Not tired, huh?" She mocked me. I laughed. I took a bite. Lena's cooking was always delicious. "You like it?" Lena asked. I nodded excited. She smiled and started eating too.

After dinner i helped her clean the dishes. After a lot of arguing of course. "Kara, that is way too much soap!" Lena screamed. "Oh really." I put some more soap in the water. "Don't!" Lena said. She tried taking the bottle of soap but instead she got soap all over her shirt. I laughed. "Stop laughing! This shirt was expensive!" Lena said. I couldn't stop laughing. Then she threw soap all over me too. "Hey!!" I said. I was about to threw more soap at her but she held my hands tight. I tried to get lose but she was stronger then me. We both got silent. My heart was beating fast. I looked at her lips. I really wanted to kiss her. She looked at me and bit her lip. I wanted to lean in when she pulled away. "Better get these dishes dry." Lena said. "Right." I said.

After getting the dishes dry i took a bath. Lena had to do some paperwork that Jess had sent her later that night, so she was in her home office. I decided to go to bed since Lena was busy anyways. I wished her goodnight and changed to my pajamas and got under the covers. I couldn't stop thinking about that moment we shared earlier. I never had such urge to kiss her. She looked absolutely gorgeous tonight. She started at me with those green eyes and she bit her lip. For a moment i thought she wanted to kiss me too. But she pulled away. I probably just made it up in my head.

The next morning i woke up to an empty house. Lena had made pancakes for me. The only thing i had to do was heat them up in the oven. I made some coffee. Why does Lena ever bother to get coffee before work. She basically had the same coffee machine as them anyways. After breakfast i cleaned up after myself and put some clothes on.

I have been watching some tv for an hour now. There wasn't anything on tv and Lena didn't even have a Netflix account. I tried logging into my own account on her tv but i didn't even know how her tv worked. After an hour of watching the most boring cooking shows, i decided to look through Lena's books. Maybe i could kill some time by reading. I was looking at this book when i heard a knock on the door.

I opened the door and Lena's driver was standing on the other side. "Miss Luther has requested me to drive you to L-corp." He said. She didn't mention it in the note, but Lena and i have lunch together all the time. So i asked him to wait so i could get my jacket. He said he would wait in the car. I went down and saw him standing beside the car. He opened the door of the backseat for me. He got inside the car and started driving. I felt my phone buzzing.

Alex:
*Hey, do you want to go out for lunch?*

Me:
*I'm actually heading to L-corp right now, to have lunch with Lena. Don't worry, Lena's driver is taking me.*

Alex:
*Okay, tomorrow?*

Me:
*Sure, see you tomorrow*

The car had already stopped and the driver now opened my door. I got out of the car. Wait. This isn't right. I turned around to look at the driver. "This isn't L-corp, what's going on?!" I said. He just looked at me. I was about to say something again when i felt a hard object hit my head. I fell to the ground and quickly passed out.
