Chapter 4

It has been a week since i was Lena. She and James had another fight and this time they decided to break up. Ever since that Lena has thrown herself into work. I tried texting and calling her but she won't call back. I decided to give her some space but i think it's been long enough. I am on my way to her office right now to see how she was doing. On my way there i took some take out with me. When i got to L-corp i went straight up to the 26th floor. I get out of the elevator and walk to Jess's desk. "Hey is Lena here, i brought her some dinner." I said. "She's in a meeting right now, but you can wait in her office if you want." She said. "Okay, thank you." I said. I walked towards the white doors and went into Lena's office. I sat down on her white couch. I took my phone out and scrolled through the news. I waited quite some time before Lena finally came. Lena walked into her office and screamed. "Kara!! You scared me!" She said. "Oh i'm sorry, Jess told me i could wait for you here." I said. "In the dark!?" She said. "I couldn't find the light switch." I said and blushed. That made her laugh. "I brought you dinner but i think it's cold." I said. "Thank you, Kara. Sorry to make you wait." She said. "It's fine. Do you have a microwave." I chuckled. "I do at my apartment, do you wanna come over?" She said. "Sure." I said.

I was on Lena's balcony at her apartment. Her apartment might not be as high as her office at L-corp but it still had a pretty good view. Lena was inside heating up the food. It was a clear night so i was looking at the stars. Lena brought the food and sat down next to me. She noticed that i was stargazing. "It's satisfying don't you think? Far away from here there are different worlds with different cultures." She said. "Yes, it is." I said. I couldn't help but think of krypton. She had no idea how big the universe really was. We silently ate our dinner. Eventually i spoke up. "Are you okay?" I said. "You haven't answered any of my calls or texts and now you pretend like everything is fine." I said. "I'm fine, Kara, really. I have just been busy with work. We have been working on this new project at L-corp." She said. "And it's a coincidence, that this project just happens to be right after you and James broke up?" I said. "James and i weren't in a good place for a while. It didn't exactly came as a surprise. I appreciate it, that you worry but it's not necessary." Lena said. "Okay, well you know you can always talk to me." I said. "I know, thank you." She said. "It's late i should probably go." I said. "Okay, thanks for bringing me dinner." She said. She gave me a hug. "It's my turn next time. I'll call you." She said. "Bye, Lena." I said. "Bye." She said.

I was on my way home when i heard screaming. I quickly changed to my costume and flew to the place. There where four man with masks trying to take this girl. "Hey! Let her go." I demanded. One guy tried to punch me and i quickly took him out. The other man reached for his gun and started shooting at me. I kept walking closer to the gun. I took the gun and crushed it. I made my way to the two men trying to get the girl in to a van. I punched one of the guys. I wanted to take out the last guy but he pointed the gun at the girl now. "Back off or i'll shoot her!" He said. "Please, you don't have to do this. Just let her go." I said. "I said! Back off!!" He screamed and grabbed the girl closer. I took a step back. "You are going to let us go." He demanded. I slowly walked back to the van. When he opened the door of his van, he looked away. I used my super speed to get to her but suddenly i felt something sting my eyes. I screamed. I fell to the ground. It was kryptonite. I tried to get up but i couldn't move. I heard the van take off. The girl was gone. I need to get out of here. I couldn't see anything. The kryptonite had damaged my eyes, i was blind. I reached out with my hand trying to find something to hold on to. I slowly walked but my legs felt like jelly. I tripped again and fell on the ground. I groaned. I heard someone approaching. "Supergirl!" Someone said. I breathed heavily. "Is she okay?" I heard another voice. I felt the kryptonite running through my veins like small needles. The voices sounded more distant until i couldn't hear anything but my own breathing.

When i woke up i was in a hospital bed. I thought i was in the DEO but when i opened my eyes i was a normal hospital room. I saw flowers in my room and cards. Why did they bring me to a normal hospital? I was looking around me confused when a doctor came in. "You're awake." He said. He looked surprised. "What happened?" I asked. "You were in a accident." The doctor said. "Do you remember your name?" He said. Was this some kind of trick? What if i came here as supergirl. I'm not just going to reveal my identity. "Have you spoken to Alex?" I said. "The nurse called her directly when you woke up, Miss Danvers." He said. My sister, so he knew who i was? "Do you remember what happened?" He asked me. I shook my head. He nodded and wrote some things down. He continued doing some tests on me without saying anything. "How long have i been here?" I said. "You were in a coma for 6 weeks, Miss Danvers." He said. In a coma? That doesn't even make any sense. Even if i was in a coma why would i be here. The last thing i remember is that guy that sprayed something in my eyes. I started to feel this strange feeling in my stomach. Something i have never felt before. I started sweating and it got hard to breathe. I heard the doctor say something to the nurse. He took a needle. Shit i thought, he's going to find out now. As he came closer i started to panic even more. He pushes the needle into my skin. What? How? I didn't have time to think. I drifted off to a deep sleep.

Subject: concentrated kryptonite

Dear Ashley,

We have seem the effects of the concentrated kryptonite. We can say it was a success. Supergirl has been of the radar for 6 weeks. It has either effected her so bad that she's been too weak to show her face or she's dead. For all our sakes let's hope the last one. Tell the boss the good news.
