Chapter 11

Tonight, me and Lena were going out. Lena said she was going to pick me up at 8pm tonight. I had no idea where she was taking me. I had just come home from work. I was looking at my closet. I have no idea what to wear. I'm dating CEO of a billion-dollar company. Would she bring me to some fancy restaurant? Or would she do something else. If I wear a fancy dress and we are going for I don't know a walk, I will be completely overdressed. But I don't want to be undressed either. It's time to call Alex, she'll know what to do. I got my phone and called Alex. "Hey, what's up." Alex said. "I need your help. I have a date with Lena tonight and I have no idea what to wear." I said. "Oh god, I'll be there in 10." She said before she hangs up. I sat down on the couch and sighted. I better get this right.

It had been 30 minutes before Alex finally showed up. "What took you so long! You said you would be here in 10." I said. "Sorry, something came up at the DEO." Alex said. "Lena will be here in an hour!!" I said. "Okay, so what are you guys going to do?" Alex said. "I don't know, that's the problem. I really don't want to overdress." I said. "What about this dress, it's not too fancy but still fancy enough." Alex said. It was the light blue dress that I bought last week. "Put it on!" Alex said. I put on the dress in the bathroom. I looked in the mirror unsure. I walked back to Alex. "What do you think?" I said. "You look really pretty, Kara. It brings out your eyes." She said. I smiled. This it the one then. "Thanks, Alex." I said. "I haven't seen you this nervous since high school." Alex said. "I really like her. I really want this to work out. I haven't felt this strongly about anyone ever." I said. "I'm sure you guys will have a great time." Alex said. "But if she hurts you again I will kill her." She said. She probably meant that. "Well, I have to go but I will see you tomorrow at the DEO. Tell me about how it went." Alex said. "Okay, see you tomorrow." I said before she left.

I was watching some tv trying to calm my nerves. I heard a knock on the door. Oh Rao she's here. I made my way to the door, ready to open it when I realized that I had forgotten my glasses. Can't have her know I'm supergirl just yet. I ran back to get my glasses and opened the door. "Lena!" I said. She was wearing a gray shirt with black jeans. She looked hot. I'm not used to Lena wearing normal clothes like this. This must mean we are doing something normal. I'm glad I didn't go all out now. "You look beautiful." Both of us said at the same time. We laughed. "I got you roses." Lena said. She handed me the roses. "Thank you. Come in, so I can put these in some water." I said. "Be careful not to cut yourself with the thorns." She said. That definitely won't be a problem. I put them in some water and got ready to leave. "So where are we going?" I said. "It's a surprise." She said. "You know I hate surprises! Tell me now." I demanded. "No!" She said playfully. "Stop pouting I'm not telling you." She said. "You're mean." I said. "Aw, I'm not sorry." She said. I locked my door and we took the elevator downstairs. We intertwined our fingers. My heart skips a beat. I was smiling like an idiot and I knew she was too.

Lena drove herself again. She had told me to put on a blindfold. The temptation was big to use my x-ray vision but I did not. "We're here." Lena said. I waited for her to open my door and she helped me get out the car. She guided me towards, wherever we were going. She got my blindfold off. I took me a second to adjust to the light. Wow. We were at a small courtyard. The place was decorated with all kinds of flowers. There were candles at the table. "After you my lady." Lena said. I blushed. We walk to the table. "Lena this is beautiful." I said completely amazed. The food was already served so we had complete privacy. Lena sat down across from me. I looked around me completely astonished. I looked at Lena again. She stared at me with those beautiful green eyes. I smiled. I can't believe she did all of this for me. Her hand was on the table and I reached for it. "This is really nice, thank you." I said. Shes miled. She played with my fingers. "I wanted everything to be perfect." She said. "We should probably start eating if we don't want it to get cold." I said nervously. She nodded and let go of my hand. I had steak with potatoes and all kinds of vegetables. I took a bite. I groaned. "It's really good." I said. "You can't give Kara Danvers a bigger gift then food. Yet you can't cook yourself." She grinned. "Wait a second! I made a perfect fried egg for you the other day!" I said. "I know!! It was delicious." She said. "Sure, it's fine. No more fried eggs for you." I said. "Nooo!!" Lena said. "You have made your choice." I said. She pouted. When I first came to earth I didn't like any of the food. Everything looked strange and disgusting. I had a hard time even getting the food down so I sure didn't want to make it myself. Eliza had never pushed me to either. Unlike Alex who had to cook all the time. It wasn't fair if you think back but back then I didn't really care, as long as I didn't have to make it. "Eliza never really taught me I guess." I said. "She didn't? but Alex can cook?" Lena said. "I know. I guess after my parent died she didn't want to pressure me too much." I said. "You never told me how your parent died." She said."Sorry, I shouldn't have asked it's supposed to be a happy night." She went on. "It's okay, my parents died in a fire." I said. "I'm sorry." She said. I knew my mom was alive of course. She was in Argo City. Lena had even met here but of course she doesn't know better then that she is supergirl's mom. "My mother didn't teach me either. But Lex and I use to cook together when we were younger. Nothing too special, Lillian wouldn't let us. She always said we didn't have a servant for nothing." She said. Of course they would have servants. "So I mostly taught myself. Maybe I can teach you some things." Lena said. "I would like that." I said. I finished my food. "So, in two weeks I have to go on a business trip to France." Lena said. "You're leaving?" I said. "Just for a few days I guess." Lena said. "Are you going to Paris? I have never been to Paris." I said. "You've never been to Paris?" Lena said. I shook my head. "I've never really been to Europe before." I said. She looked at me surprised. I have been to Europe before, I flew there. But never really on an actual trip with family or friends. Alex refused to let me fly her there. She said it was too dangerous. "Why don't you come with me then? I mean I would have to work most of the time, but you could explore the city without me." She said. I would love to go to Paris, especially with Lena. I have to work at CatCo though. "Lena I have to work, I literally just got back. There's no way I can just leave." I said. "Kara." She said. "Hmm?" I said. "You know I'm literally your boss right." She said. I laughed. "Yeah but-" I said. "Come to Paris with me. We could stay a few days longer so we can explore together." She said. "Fine." I said. Her face lit up. I guess she wanted this just as much as I did.

After we had dinner Lena drove me back home. She parked a block from my apartment. Our hands intertwined automatically. We walked to the elevator and went up to the 3th floor. Lena walked me to my door. "I had a great night, Lena, thank you." I said. "Me too." She said. She kissed me gently. "I'll see you tomorrow." She said. I nodded. She wanted to leave but I pulled her back in a deeper kiss. Her hands found my hips and my hands were tangled in her hair. I slowly pulled away. "Good night." I whispered. I opened my door and closed it behind me.

In coming call from Dr. Jack Stevens.

Accept.

"It's Jack. Have you seen the news? Supergirl is still alive."

"I know. You know I didn't want to kill her in the first place."

"This also means it's not ready yet. If it won't kill her it might not kill the other aliens either."

"I guess we have a lot to work on Doctor."

"I'll get back to work immediately."
