"Okay and this" Cason says moving his hand "is bear" I do the same thing he just did. It's been a few weeks and he's been teaching me sign language so we can talk to each other. I guess one of his friends are deaf so he knows sign language.

"How do you sign" I sign and point to the gun. He looks to where I'm pointing and moves his hands. I nod and copy the movements. I'm slowly learning to trust him, but I'm always ready to run if he attacks me. I know he will turn into a guy like my dad.

"Tell me about your gang" I sign. He sighs

"What do you want to know?"

"People?"

"Uhm, well my dads the leader, I'm second in command, then there's Aiden, Landon, A.J., Tyson, and Mickey"

"Mom know?"

"Yes"

"Cassidy?" I spell out her name because there is no sign for it

"Not yet, but soon" he tells me

"Dangerous?"

"Very. I keep a gun in my room" he kinda laughs

"Only you and Cassidy?" I sign.

"What do you mean, 'only you and Cassidy?'" He asks

"Children"

"Oh. We had a big brother, he died" he looks down

"Sorry" I sign

"It's fine. I wasn't really close to him anyway" he tells me

"That's no excuse, it always hurts to loose someone"

"Yeah" He smiles

"Something funny?"

"Not funny, cute" he says "it's cute when you care" I blush and look down. Stop. I know he's just going to hurt me but I feel drawn to him for some reason. I feel safe with him. He notices my change of expression and looks at me "what's wrong?" He asks I shake my head and look away. He takes his finger and pulls my head to look at him.
"Talk to me, please" He tells me

"Secret" I tell him

"We're friends right?"

"Yes" I sign. He smiles and starts to say something but gets interrupted by his phone ringing.

"Hello......what?...fuck....okay I'm on my way" he hangs up. He looks pissed

"What's wrong?" I sign. He doesn't see me. I clear my throat to make him look at me "what's wrong?" I sign again

"Things. You have to go" he tells me. I feel kind of hurt that he didn't tell me but I brush it off. I head downstairs and wave goodbye to Mr. and Mrs. Dodge. My dad is at work for at least another 30 minuets so I start to head home.

"Hello, Ava" I hear my dad say after I open the door. I start to cry

"Aw poor little girl, you snuck out. You need to be punished" he tells me with a big smile on his face. I rapidly shake my head no. He nods and grabs my arm, leading me to his bedroom. "I'll enjoy this" my dad whispers in my ear

Cason
"Hey son" my dad pats my back. We're at the gangs house in my dads office.

"Hey. What did you want to talk about? Is everyone okay?"

"I want you to take over the gang" he tells me. I'm in shock.

"W..what?" I stutter

"I want you to take over the gang" he says slowly.

"Wow dad thank you! Wait.. why?"

"Me and your mom want to retire"

"Oh"

"We're leaving" he tells me

"Like, leaving the gang?"

"Leaving the country"

"What! Why?" I stand up

"People are after us. You have to tell Cassidy about the gang" he tells me and leaves the room

"What the fuck!?"

I'm sorry I'm not posting things a lot, I'm in the process of moving and it's really stressful. I'm going to try to upload more. So, Cason and Cassidy's parents are leaving!
