"BEHIND YOU!"

Ava
I stare at the man behind the door. Not moving. Everyone's looking at me.

"Ava? Who's this?" Cassidy asks cautiously.

"Her dad" Cason states. I look behind me at him, I give him a scared look and he nods "Look, Lucas, I think it's time to go" he starts walking to me.

"One more step and I'll blow her head off" I feel hard metal on the side of my head. Cassidy screams. "That goes for all of you!" He shouts, making me shake even more.

"It's okay. Don't be scared" Lucas starts "I know, these big, scary men stole you from me. But I'm going to take you home. Don't worry. You'll be back in your own room in no time" I shake my head. A few tears slip out of my eyes. He leans down and kisses the tears off my cheeks. I shake my head again.

"NOW!" Tyson yells and Cassidy reaches over, grabbing the gun out of his hands, a loud boom echos through the house while Cason grabs me and hands me off to Grayson and Axel. Tyson and Cason run up to Lucas and tackle him. Both punching him. He has no chance of surviving. I look down and notice I'm bleeding. The gun went off. I got shot. I put my hand over my shoulder as everything starts to go black.
Cassidy
I stand there looking at the fight and something catches my eye. I look over for a second and Ava falls to the floor.

"Ava!" Grayson shouts. Cason looks back for a second.

"Is she okay?!" Cason yells

"I don't....I can't tell!" Grayson shouts back

"Fuck" Cason mumbles

"Cason. He's out. He's probably dead" Tyson says.

"Good. This bastard deserves to die" he says and gets up "Ava?" He asks, trying to get her attention. She doesn't answer.

"We need to take her to a hospital" I say

"And say what?! Oh, her dad came to my gang and shot her?! I fucking know that. Let me think of a story!" He snaps

"Cassidy! You're in college to become nurse. Nurse her!" Axel says

"I'm not sure you understand this. She need an actual doctor. Not just a nurse" I state

"Nurse her!" Grayson yells. I get on the floor and check her pulse.

"She's alive. We just have to wait till she wakes up" I tell them all

"Let's put her on the couch" Tyson says

"No, don't move her. It could harm the baby" I say "grab a pillow and put it under her head"
Ava
I start to open my eyes but it's really bright. I see Cason leaning over me and a man with a knife leaning over him. It's my dad

"CASON! BEHIND YOU!" I yell and immediately pull my hands to my burning throat. That fucking hurt. Cason knocks the knife out of his hand and pins him on the ground. Lucas was caught off guard by me yelling. Everyone is looking at me in shock. I can't believe I just did that. I just talked. Like with my voice. I mean it hurt like hell, still does, but I did it.

"Told you" Cassidy whispers. She's been telling me every since we met that I could talk if I really put my mind to it.

"Hospital" I sign
