Scarlet and Tai decided to spend the day on the bed going through music sheets of what songs to sing for her upcoming concert. Guilmon was on the floor curled on his belly looking up at Tai and Scarlet while they go through the papers.

"What about this one?"

Tai asked as he held up the paper. Scarlet grabbed it and looked it over and shook her head.

"No I already sang this one"

She said. Tai nodded as he continued to look through but would steal some glances looking at Scarlet while she also looks through the papers. He smiled to himself because in all honesty she still looked beautiful to him even if her hair is messy on a lazy day. Tai then looked back to the papers before Scarlet notice he was staring at her but little did he knew she already caught him when he was still day dreaming. Tai caught a glance of a song piece that was still unfinished. He looked at the title that read 'Lies'.

"Hey this one is unfinished"

He said. Scarlet looked up and her eyes widen in surprise and quickly snatched the paper in his hand.

"Sorry but you were not meant to see that"

Tai raised one eye brow in confusion but quickly put the pieces together.

"That song is about me isn't it?"

Scarlet sadly looked down at the papers and nodded. Tai sadly smiled.

"Hey its okay, I was just wondering that's all but why is it unfinished?"

Scarlet had enough courage to look up at Tai in the face.

"I started writing the song after....after....you know"

She said trailing off. Tai face crestfallen as he knew what she meant.

"Oh"

"Yeah"

The room got silent an awkward silence settle in between them. Guilmon just remained quiet but listen closely to their conversation. Tai licked his dried lips and nodded sadly.

"About that Scarlet, I been meaning to ask, what happened to you after you know....what i did to you?"

He asked hesitantly. Scarlet frown at him.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean like did you go to the doctor to make sure you were okay?"

He asked nervously for his answer but deep inside he needed to know.

"I didn't go to the doctor"

She said quietly.

"Because if I did they would bring in the police and the paparazzi were already over me. I didn't want it to be in the front page news. Everything was okay just some tearing and bleeding but I'm okay"

She said looking back down at the papers. Tai was slightly relieved and looked to the paper in her hand.

"Can you sing it for me?"

He asked. Scarlet looked up at him in surprise.

"But its not finished"

"I know but just sing what you have"

"Why?"

She asked confused.

"Because you said you were writing that song after what I had did to you and through all of your songs you put a lot of emotions into it and I would want to know what did you feel at that moment because I had to confess after I realized what I did, I felt so guilty, ashamed and dirty to the point that I didn't know who I was anymore. I realized that I still love you and I had talked to my mom and the next thing I know I'm here talking to you"

Scarlet was surprised about the way how Tai felt after the encounter, she looked down at the paper and cleared up her throat before singing.

"How could I trust you?

She sang softly. Tai's heart broke at those words that cutted him deep but he knew at that moment when she was writing it she was hurting. He looked at her with a sad smile.

"How come you never finished it?"

"I never got the chance to because of the moving and once I got here, I wanted to start fresh again"

She said with her head low. Tai gently leaned over and gently grabbed her chin in his hand but Scarlet quickly froze at the contact and began to shake slightly. Tai noticed her discomfort and quickly removed his hand.

"I'm sorry"

He said immediately after he notice his mistake. Scarlet looked at him in slight fear.

"Its okay just don't grab me from my chin anymore, I just gotten a few flashbacks"

She said lowly. Tai nodded in understanding.

"I understand, I just wanted to let you know that I'm here and I would want to give us a second chance, I mean if you let me?"

"You still want to be with me after what we just been through?"

"I want to because this time I know your worth and I never want to take that for granted ever again"

Scarlet looked up at him hesitantly.

"I don't know. I mean I thought about it"

She admitted with a light blush causing Tai to smile with a bit of hope.

"But how about this, we just start over as friends, because we really need to work on our trust"

She said. Tai smiled and nodded.

"Yeah I could work with that, and I promise Scarlet once we build back our trust I am going to treat you like a jewel that you are"

He said causing her to blush with a smile.

"Friends for now"

She said as she reached out her hand. Tai grabbed her hand in his hand and shook in a truce. Guilmon just looked between.

"Its like if this is one of the SOAP shows"

He said causing Tai and Scarlet to laugh.
