Charlie and the queen ran off together after uniting and it started pouring rain. The sky was still dark, and the king was still frozen in time. A loud screech rang out through the canyon. Charlie looked up to see a hideous beast with large tattered wings. It had scars across its face. The most noticeable one went straight through the eye and was about a foot long. It's glowing eyes watched over the kingdom as it breathed out its own smoke.
"Just don't. Make. A sound," whispered Serenity. She quietly grabbed his hand and pulled him into a nearby cave. "What're we doing in he—" "Shhh!" Serenity hushed him. She created a fire with two round rocks and lit a torch. They camped a while in there- maybe about 2 hours- and the sky started to light back up.
"I think we'll be safe.." the queen softly whispered getting up from a rock. All was silent again, and she saw that the dragon was back at its post- guarding the castle. "Ok let's go," she said, guiding Charlie. She took his hand and led him to the opening of the cave. Charlie stuck his head out to look around. "We're safe! Let's go!" He smiled.
They tiptoed out, but before entirely escaping, Serenity caught something in the corner of her eye.
"CHARLIE!!"
She runs with all of her speed and shoves him out of the way and back into the cave. A massive red dragon with glowing beady eyes attacks. Charlie runs deep into the cave to take cover. "SERENITY!" He cried. The large beast clawed at the cold stone floor of the cave in efforts to reach Charlie. Its claws screeched across the rock, making an ear splitting high-pitched noise. It's large jaws stretched open and roared, making stalactites fall and shatter.

Charlie hid in the darkest depths of the cave, where no light reached at all. The dragon gave up on him, but held Queen Serenity captive. "STAY HIDDEN CHARLIE!! I'LL BE WITH YOU ALWAYS!" Were her last words before the dragon took her away..
