Charlie has always had an active imagination. But waking up in a completely different realm can be a little concerning, don't you think? Well, not for this eight year old. Anywhere other than his home was amazing basically. It all started when he wa...
The snap of a twig grabs Tabitha's attention. "Hello?" She calls out. It was silent. As she neared the Golden Creek she noticed something. It was no longer golden. The golden light of life flowing through it was dimming, and now it was surely appropriate to call it the silver creek.
"Tabitha?" Ann called. Tabitha turned to her right to see Ann pushing a bush of briars out of her way. "Ann?" Tabitha was surprised at first. She cleared her throat, "I mean- Ug, What're you doing here?" She crosses her arms as she watches Ann struggle to get closer. "Um- first miss prissy pants, I am here to help you and make sure you don't die. Two, Melody is with your husband. She'll be fine..You know, just before you asked." Ann wiped off her leather chest plate and reached into her bag. "Here," She said, quickly tossing Tabitha an outfit to wear for protection.
"It's getting dark," Tabitha sighs. "We need to hurry if we're going to find him alive." Ann twitched her ears and turned around. "I think something's in that log!" She whispered. "What though?" Tabitha wondered. "I'll find out!" Ann whispered again. Without hesitation, she walked towards the large, fallen tree trunk and quietly tiptoed inside.
Hissssss
"THERE'S A CAT!" Ann shouts. She runs back and hides behind Tabitha. "Wait a second.." Tabitha says, nearing the entrance of the log. "That wasn't a cat hiss. It sounded like a skunk.. Hey! Liiiiightbuuuuuulb!" "Heh heh, no. I see where you're going, sister but, Erm...No. We are not going to-"
"Come here, boy!" Tabitha coaxes. Just as she expected, a skunk crawls out, cranky from being awakened from its slumber. "Sorry, sir, but may we....Will you be our noble steed?" Tabitha asks, almost laughing.
It smacked its lips in agreement (if you didn't know, that's what skunks do..it's weird, I know) and Tabitha grinned.
"It's gonna let us ride it!" She cries to Ann. Ann rolls her eyes and Tabitha takes her by the hand and leads her to the skunk. "Get on!" Tabitha laughs. Ann awkwardly throws her leg over the skunk's back and hops on. Tabitha follows and rides behind Ann.
"Ok, Mister Skunk, if you'd please take us over that railroad right there, that'd be great," Tabitha tells it, patting its back. It nods, and starts to steadily march towards the track.
CHOOOOO CHOOOOOO
"TABITHA THERE'S A-A TRAIN!!" Ann screams. "Weeeeee!!" She screams in delight. "GO FASTER YOU SKUNK!" Ann pleads as the oncoming train shines its bright light even more.

They escape by a hair.
"Woo! That got my adrenaline goin! Didn't yours?" Tabitha smiled. Ann sat there motionless; suddenly she lashes out. "ARE YOU OUTTA YOUR MIND?!" "......sorry," Tabitha mutters. "Thank you Mister Skunk! You can go home now.." She tells him. The skunk crosses back over and leaves them by themselves.
"Hello?" An innocent voices says. "Ann..I'm sorry what I did but that's not necessary," Tabitha complains. "That's not me-" "Hello?" It called again. "..Hello?" Ann asks back. "Hi." The voice replies. Tabitha and Ann spin around looking up and down looking for something the voice could come from. "Tabitha?" The voices asks. Tabitha gasps. "CHARLIE?" "Tabitha! Help me! You gotta help me! I'm scared, Tabitha! Tabitha..." The echoes of his voice fade away, while the moon reveals itself from behind the clouds.
"NO! CHARLIE! Come back! CHARLIE!!" Tabitha desperately tries to hear his voice again but it's gone.
Ann rests her hand in Tabitha's back comfortingly. "Hey..Lets keep going.. Maybe we'll find that voice again if we keep walking. "You're right.." She sighs. "Let's go."

They make it to a spooky mountain range, with a foggy tunnel creating a passageway in it. A crow caws as they look at the moon behind the eerie clouds. "Well...This'll be fun," Ann comments. They keep walking and make it to the great stone pillars.

"They're taking me, Tabitha!" Charlie's voice cries. "Where?? TELL ME, PLEASE CHARLIE!" Tabitha spins around several times, scanning the woods with her eyes desperately. "Tabitha! This way! I found something!" Ann calls. "What is it?" Tabitha asks, running over to her. Ann points to a scepter with a hook.. maybe a staff? laying next to an old torn book. "What is this thing??" Tabitha asks. Ann shrugs. "I'm here!" Charlie's voice calls. The gem inside the scepter thing glows green. "I'm here!!" He cries once more. Ann picks up the staff. "What the- Do you see that?" Ann points to the background behind Charlie. "That looks like..Se- no...Wait?" Suddenly, a black cloud bursts in explosion and they are knocked. Out.
