The Mysterious Man Part 2

I was ridding Silver through the streets as we were leaving for another Scouting Expedition. This time we were going to try out Captain Erwin's new formation and I couldn't wait to see what how it turns out. It wasn't soon after that we got in formation and continued to ride our horses to our destination. My squad was on lookout duty in the third row on the left flank. If we saw a titan we were supposed to fire a red flare and the squads near us were supposed to do the same. If we see a green flare then the Commander is changing direction and we were supposed to fire a green flare to in the same direction as his. Not too long after we started we saw a red flare from the group in front of us.

"Red flare confirmed," Zoie said.

"Melissa you fire it."

"Yes, Ma'am!" I said then I prepared the flare and fired it up in the air.

A few hours later it had gotten to quite and we haven't seen any Titan's yet.

"Titan! Behind us!" Someone in the back of our group yelled and I looked behind me to see a 15 meter tall Titan running after us like a kid chasing a puppy around.

"Squad Leader?!" I yelled and she didn't look back.

"Ignore it! We are going to outrun it." She said and I looked forward.

"Holy- It's fast!" Someone else yelled and then I heard Zoie screaming. I turned my head around and I saw that the titan had picked up Zoie and was about to eat her.

"ZOIE!" I yelled and I turned my horse around.

I grabbed my blades as I jumped off my horse then I shot my steel wire that pierced the Titans arm. I flew up and I spun cutting the Titan's fingers to release Zoie. I flew in the air then did a flip as I shot the steel wire in the back of the Titans neck and sliced it. I jumped off it as it started falling backward and I landed on my horse.

"Thank's shorty!" Zoie said as I caught up to her and the squad leader.

"I am not short," I replied with an annoyed look on my face.

"Haha! Whatever you say."

After a long day, we finally found an abandoned castle. I was sitting in one of the corridors drawing a picture for Erwin. He asked me when I had time to draw a picture of my mother for him. Erwin was my mother's cousin and he didn't know that she passed away until he found me three years ago after I ran away from home.

I finished drawing the picture and I looked at it. It was my mom smiling with her eyes closed. I smiled back at it then I decided to put it away before I start crying. I put the drawing back in the book as I stood up and continued walking down the hall.

I walked into a room that had soldiers talking and laying down on their blankets. I started walking and someone tripped me. I dropped my book as I rolled to catch my fall and I stood back up. Papers fell out of my book and when I reached down to get the book someone grabbed it away from me. I looked up to see who it was and a girl with blonde hair braided up into a bun.

"What do you want Sara?" I asked.

"This is your drawing book correct?" She said then she started looking through it.

"Please don't," I said as I tried to take the book away.

"Your drawings are pathetic you should just stick to killing Titans!" she said loudly as she laughed. She threw the book on the floor.

People heard what she said and started whispering among each other. I put my head down so I could hide my face with my hair and I got on down on my knees as she walked away. I started picking up the drawings that fell out when someone came over to help me. I looked up to see a redhead girl with her hair in low pigtails and green eyes smiling at me as she handed me the rest of the papers. I took them from her and placed them back into the book.
