Soldier With Wings of Freedom

Trost Part 2

We were riding our horses up to the wall and we heard a loud noise then dust started rising from the gate. We were hoping that the message was false but as we got closer we could tell it was true. When the dust started clearing I notice that there was a boulder blocking the gate and titans were crawling around it like they were trying to get in.

"Captain?" Cole said and I looked back to see him by my side. His face full of concern.

"You are from Trost aren't you?" I asked while I looked at the ground. He nodded and I had to turn my head back forward so he doesn't worry.

When we got closer to the wall Levi jumped off his horse and used his maneuver to climb the wall then he disappeared. I did the same as I got closer to the wall.

I flipped over and saw Levi standing on top of a Titan corpse. A Titan started running towards him from his right side and I flew down and sliced its neck. I turned around and I saw a blonde boy holding up a brown haired boy who was missing his cadet jacket with strange markings on the right side of his face. Behind them was a girl with short black hair and a red scarf.

"Hey, Brats? What's going on here?" Levi asked.

I had my head resting on my lap while my arms covered it. I was sitting in a chair next to a hospital bed that had Zoie lying still unconscious. I was waiting for her older sister to come over so I can explain what had happened. I was exhausted from killing off the remaining Titans that were left in Trost. I felt someone gently put their hand on my shoulder and I turned my head to see who it was.

"What do you want Levi?" I asked as I moved my head back to its previous position.

"I just wanted to see if you were alright Mel." He said I could tell he was tired too.

"Well, I'm fine! Just go get some rest already!" I snapped at him.

"You need rest too-"

"Zoie!" Someone yelled as they burst through the door. I quickly stood up and I watched a girl with short shoulder length blonde hair run up to the other side of Zoie's bed. I looked at Zoie as the lady stroked the hair out of her face. Zoie was still in her uniform and she was covered in scratches and dirt.

"I assume your Zoie's older sister Cloie?" I asked and she turned and faced me with tears in her eyes.

"Yes I'm her, but please tell me what happened?"

"I'm Melissa, Zoie's Captain and we have been best friends since we first became Cadets. What happened is not that easy to explain."

"Please, I would like to know!" She said. I explained what had happened but I left out the part where we both almost died.

"Thank you so much, Miss Melissa, for saving my sister."

"I wasn't the only one, the rest of the-" I started to say but someone knocked on the door.

"Come in," Cloie said and I looked back at the door to see who was coming in. Cole walked in with Charlie and Stan behind him. They noticed me and Levi and they saluted us.

"Captain Levi?" Cole asked nervously. He was always a little nervous around Levi.

"I was just leaving," Levi said. He looked at me and then he started heading to the door.

"Oh wait! Captain Levi." Stan said. Levi stopped and stared at him.

"Commander Smith needs to talk to you both as soon as possible." Stan continued. Levi turned around and looked at me as if he was waiting.

"Just a second," I said and I looked back at Zoie then her sister.

"We have to go, it was nice to meet you Cloie. I hope we can meet again on better circumstances." I said and I saluted her.
