57th Expedition Part 1

We were about to leave for our fifty-seventh expedition and everyone was getting into formation. My team was in the center of the formation with a convoy unit in front of us. Another convoy unit was behind us with Levi's team behind them. Stan was next to me on his horse and behind us was Elizabeth, Charlie, Cole, and Sara. I was thinking about this morning and how Levi has a bruise under his right eye. It wasn't big but it was a dark purple and I still feel bad about punching him.

"Hey Captain?" Elizabeth asked. She seemed all cheery and perky.

"What?"

"What are we doing on this Expedition?" She asked. I couldn't tell any of my team members what we were planning yet.

"What do you think we're doing?" I asked annoyed.

"We're going to kill a but load of Titans aren't we?" She asked while she got excited.

"Mmmm...? Maybe? But I have a question for you?" I said with a smirk on my face.

"Huh?" She asked sounding confused.

"You weren't in Trost when it was attacked... So I was wondering... Have you ever seen a Titan before?" I said then I looked back and she looked at me confused.

"No. No, I haven't."

"Then I suggest you stay close to your teammates," I said as I looked back and Stan smiled.

"Dad?" I little boy yelled and Stan's smile disappeared as he looked towards the voice.

"What is it, Stan?" I asked and I little boy came running in between some soldiers towards us.

"Cody?" Stan said then he jumped off his horse. He bent down and held his arms out as the boy hugged him.

"Cody?! Cod- Stanley?!" An older lady yelled as she was looking for the boy. When she saw Stan she ran up to him as he stood up.

"Hey, Stan is that your son? Why don't you tell him about how you almost pissed your pants the other day." Charlie said with a laugh.

"Charlie!" I snapped and he shut up. I jumped off my horse and I walked over to Stan's family.

"I'm sorry about him. He was actually the one who was about to wet himself." I said with a smile.

"C-Captain!" Charlie said as his face turned red. Sara started laughing so hard she almost fell off her horse.

"Thanks, Captain," Stan said.

"No problem... You must be Cody. Your father has told us so much about you." I said as I put my hands on my knees and bent down with a smile on my face. The little boy nodded and I stood straight up.

"You must be Captain Melissa. Stan was right; you are prettier than a dozen roses." The lady said and Stan started blushing.

"M-Mother?!" He said and I laughed a little. We heard the gate start opening and I quickly got back on my horse.

"Stan we have to go," I said. He hugged both of them and told them goodbye then he jumped back onto his horse.

We rode through the gate into an abanded town. It wasn't too long before two Titan's showed up. As we rode past them Elizabeth squealed.

"Cap-Captain!" She exclaimed scared.

"The Support Team will take care of it," I said sounding annoyed.

"But?!"

"Sara?" I said.

"Yes, Ma'am?!"

"Slap her for me," I said and Sara rode up to the side of Elizabeth's horse and slapped her in the back of the head.
