I jumped on a cart and I held my hand down to Stan and he took it. I helped him up on the cart as the rest of the team walked over and we handed boxes to them. When there was two left I jumped out of the cart and grabbed one of them as Stan jumped down behind me. He grabbed the other box and he walked next to my side. He sighed and I looked up at him because he is six feet tall and I was five foot five. He had a distant look in his eyes and looked down.

"You alright?" I asked.

"It's nothing Captain." He said as he looked away. I knew it wasn't nothing and I hated seeing my team down.

"Come on you can tell me," I said and he looked back at me.

"You sure?" He asked and I nodded.

"I was just thinking about what my son said to me before we left." He said as he looked up at the sky. We placed the boxes on top of the stack of other boxes behind a table.

"What did your son say?" I asked as I grabbed my knife that I always hid in my boot and I cut one of the boxes open.

"He told me something that surprised me."

"What did he say then?" I asked and he hesitated.

"He said that I should confess my love for the person I have feelings for." He said as he faced away from me. I grabbed a handful of the food bars in the box and placed them on the table.

"That was big of him to say that...But who is this person you have feelings for?" I asked as I turned toward him and placed my hand on my hip. He was thinking about it and opened his mouth to say something but a soldier walked up to us.

"Captain Melissa?" He said.

"Yes?"

"Commander Erwin is requesting you." He said.

"Yes, I'll be there right away," I said and he walked away.

"Well gotta see what Erwin wants now," I said. I grabbed one of the food bars then I started running towards the Command Tent.

I got to the tent and no one was inside. I walked down the hill and I saw that he was over by the stables. I started running again and when I got there I stopped running.

"Commander?" I asked as I walked up to him as he was looking down at a map. He looked up and smiled at me.

"Just a minute." He said then he looked back down and started talking to the people next to him. I looked up at the roof of the stable and I saw Mike standing on watch. I knew he missed breakfast this morning and I looked down at the food bar I had.

"Hey, Mike!" I yelled up at him and he turned around.

"Catch!" I yelled and then I threw the bar up at him. He caught it then smiled at me as he turned away and started eating it.

I turned my back to Erwin and He was still busy and I saw Levi's horse but he wasn't around. I heard birds in the distant and I turned my head to see a flock of them flying away from the forest. I looked closer confused and a tree started falling over. A red flare was shot in the air and I looked over and saw that Mike had moved. He was crouched down on the roof and he looked back at us.

"The forest! They're here!" He yelled and people started running.

"Squad Leader! It's too dangerous alone!" Someone yelled and I turned around to see Hanji jumping on her horse.

"Erwin! I'm gonna go ahead!" She yelled then she took off down the path to the forest.

"Wait, Hanji!" Erwin yelled but that didn't stop her.
