57th Expedition Part 2

<Erwin's point of view>

The convoy squads were just barely finishing up with the traps. Hanji was getting a little too excited to capture this Titan. Melissa landed next to my side as she watched the others work.

"Reporting Commander. The four teams are in place and so far everything is going as planned, Sir." She said.

"Thank you for the report, you can head back Captain," I said. She saluted and jumped off the Branch.

I was hoping that she wouldn't be killed today but you can never tell what could happen. I already lost a lot of soldiers today and I don't want to lose anymore.

"Commander! Black flare confirmed, Sir!" Mike yelled up at me as Hanji was jumping up and down with excitement.

"Positions everyone! The Female is on its way!" I ordered and everyone hurried into their positions.

We waited in silence. Then the ground started shaking a little. I heard something that sounded like a crash in the direction of Melissa's team. not too long after that, I heard another crashing sound but it was louder this time. I started to get a little worried as an image of Melissa smiling at me appeared in my head. I shook my head to get it out as the ground started shaking with the sounds of giant footsteps. Levi's team finally ran past us with the Female behind them.

"FIRE!" I ordered when she got into range.

She saw me and covered the back of her neck with both of her hands as the canons went off. Levi flew up and landed next to me.

"Looks like it stopped moving." He said. He had a little bit of a sad tone to his voice.

"We can't let our guard down. How'd you manage to lure it all the way here?" I asked.

"The squad behind us and the reinforcement teams gave their lives to buy us time. Without them, we couldn't have done it."

"I see," I said. I felt like going back and hoping that he was lying.

"Thanks to their sacrifice, we'll get to meet the person inside the nape of this one's neck. I hope she's not wetting herself in fear." Levi said.

"Reporting, Sir. The Female has been successfully captured." One of the Squad leaders said.

"Good... I want you and your squad to go back to check on the situation between here and the entrance to the forest." I said.

"Yes, Sir!" He said. He went over to his squad and they quickly took off. 

<Elizabeth's point of view>

I was hiding behind a tree lost in thought. I didn't want to admit it but I was terrified. I couldn't figure out why they didn't put me with the rest of the rookies. It's not like I don't like my team I actually loved my teammates even Captain fun killer. They treated me like one of their own right away. I thought they wouldn't like me because I replaced Zoie, but the Captain didn't quite like me until like two weeks ago or so I think. She was always busy and when she was around I felt like she was watching me.

I felt something small hit my head and I looked in the direction it came from. Melissa landed on a tree branch across the road from me and she faced me with a serious look. She pointed to her eyes then towards the road. She was telling me to pay attention. I nodded and I looked back there was a black smoke flare in the sky and my body started feeling up with fear.

<Melissa's Point Of View>

I flew around a tree and I saw that Elizabeth was lost in thought. So I picked up a small rock and I threw it at her head. She quickly turned and looked at me as I landed on a tree branch. I did a hand sign to show her to pay attention as she looked at me weird. I looked over at Cole who was a hundred feet away and he nodded as he held up his blades. I quickly grabbed my blades and I waited for Levi's team to show up.

I heard a high pitch sound which was the signal to me if the Female was close and the other team couldn't slow her down. I could see Levi's team heading this way and the Female Titan was behind them. It started to get closer to Levi's team and Sara flew in front of her. The Female Titan quickly lifts up her arm then hit Sara.

"S-Sara!" I gasped as I froze at what happened then Stan and Charlie flew up behind her.

"What about Sara, Capta-?" Cole started asking but stopped when he saw what happened next. The Female pulled Stan's wire for his device then she elbowed him into a tree. Charlie looked back scared and she grabbed him. She crushed him then dropped his body. I was trying not to show it but I was having so many different emotions, fear, anger, sadness, and adrenaline. There was too many.

<Elizabeth's Point of View>

"Elizabeth run!" Captain ordered. I knew something was going to happen. I hide behind the tree as the Female killed Stan.

"What?! I can't that-?!" I tried saying with tears in my eyes as I looked at her.

"Go join one of the Squad Leaders outside the forest! Tell them I sent you but not what happened! THAT'S AN ORDER!" She yelled as she looked at me. I looked at her surprised because a tear ran down her face. I nodded and I jumped off the branch and flew in the opposite direction.

I looked back as she and Cole spun around the Titan. They were fast and trying to dodge the Titan. I stopped and I watched them from a safe distance. Captain disappeared and the Female was trying to find her as Cole flew in front of her. He flew down and tried to slice its Achilles tendon but it crystallized and his blades broke. The Female went to grab Cole but it stopped when something went down and cut the Female's left side of her face from her forehead down to her jaw. Her left eye was cut slowing her down a bit.

Melissa appeared out of nowhere covered with blood that started steaming. I was surprised someone could move that fast. I have heard Captain Melissa had the record for the fastest titan kills and was one of the strongest, but I didn't know she was that fast. I just barely saw her but she moved to fast for me to keep up with her. Cole flew up as the Female Titan threw its arm back and smacked him into a tree.

"COLE!" Captain screamed as she flew in front of the Titan. The Captain let her guard down and the female grabbed her cord to her device. The Captain screamed as the Female pulled her cord and swung her in between the trees. I heard what sounded like sticks breaking and I quickly turned back around to get away as I started crying like crazy.

I wiped my tears away when I spotted one of the Squad Leaders up ahead. I recognized the short blonde hair women but I couldn't remember her name. I knew she was a squad leader and she would talk to my Captain a lot. I landed on the same branch as her and she quickly looked up at me.

"Magnolia?! What are you doing here?" She asked a little surprised.

"Captain Melissa ordered me to join you," I said and she looked at me weird.

"You sure? That doesn't sound like her."

"I think she thought I would be in the way or something like that," I said and she looked away.

"Join Arlert, and Kirstein over there." She said and she pointed to who they were.

I looked where she was pointing and I saw a boy with blonde hair with a bandage wrapped around his head. There was another man facing away from me with light brown hair and dark brown hair. I nodded and I flew over to them. I landed on another branch next to theirs. I looked up at them and I recognized one of them. He looked at me with a shocked expression.

"Jean?!"-"Lizzy?!" We both asked each other at the same time. His face turned a little pink as he looked away

"What are you doing here?" He asked

"I should be asking you the same thing, I thought you wanted to join the Military Police," I asked.

"Maybe we can talk about this later guys. My name is Armin, what's yours?" The blonde said with a smile as he held out his hand.

"Elizabeth."
