.Ichigo's POV.
"Let's play a game," Starrk said.
"What Game?"
The room was average sized and square, with two plastic chairs and one table in the middle. On my opposite side, Starrk climbed up into one of the tall chairs.
"I call it Q and A."
"What Q and A?"
I knew very well to not say a word to the police. If I want to get out of here, I need to keep my temper at bay.
"It's simple, where I ask questions and you answer them. So, shall we begin?"
I wapped my arms under my chest. "Let's get my lawyer first and then we will play."
Starrk nodded and turned his gaze toward his wife. "Call his lawyer."
She saluted and turned around, trying the door knob, and it swung open. She glanced behind at her husband. Soon the door shut and she left. The creaking noise sounded like a warning to everyone in the room.
"Look, I have to tell you this... so pay attention."
"I'll talk when my lawyer is present and not before." I told him.
"I am sure your lawyer must be on his way here already." Starrk smiled. "I will talk, and all you have to do is listen. We don't want to waste time, after all."
What are you up to now? Starrk. I leaned back in my chair, which was highly uncomfortable.
"You have the right to remain silent. You understand that?
"Ya." I said.
"You can decide to quit talking to me at anytime and exercise these rights. Now, before you say anything, let me tell you what I know. . . "
I squinted my eyes at him, as he spoke. "I know what happened; you were drinking in a bar. Franceska Mila Rose entered, and you flirted with each other and after the sex. You two continued to meet like this, and when she told you that she was in debt, you came up with this fabulous idea to save your girlfriend."
I remained silent, but listening to this nonsense was hard.
"Do you want to know the fabulous idea you have come up with?" He put his hands on the table, leaning toward me.
My nose flared and I felt my scowl deepen with each word he spoke.
"You told her about the new launch of ABCX software." He went on to say, "Then the second step was for her to tell her brother about this information, and she did exactly what you told her." The more he spoke, the more irritated I became. "Investacorp will not hold this against you if you are proven innocent and they will continue to do business with you." He scoffed. "What a brilliant strategy, Kurosaki, your reputation precedes you to kill two birds with one stone."
"I fucking told you!" I growled. "I'm not going to say a word without my lawyer."
"Why are you getting angry? I'm merely stating the facts. " He gave me his fake smile again.
