12th julyThe injection fogged my head, bringing on a haze where thoughts went nowhere and even emotions were dulled. It had worked perfectly well on me, then the breath came, shallow, lungs unable to move much against the suddenly heavy ribs, deranged in sweat, and mostly what brought me back was the news of Franceska's murder.
How bad was the situation?
The disgusting taste of puke lingered in my mouth as I looked at the floor. Most of the saliva on the floor was mixed with water because of an empty stomach.
"Fuhrer has addressed your concerns."The Lieutenant begins, "General Mashiro got a reprimand notice if she ever does something like this again. She won't be an officer working in H.Q. and she's not working on this case anymore." She added. "I hope it's satisfying enough, Ishida-san?"
"It's very appropriate." I heard Ryuken.
Then she continued to attack us verbally. "Ichigo losing his composure, almost killed General Mashiro. On top of that, he also attacked Fuhrer head on, and if it weren't for the entire squad to jump in and handle the situation, this very interrogation room would be a battlefield." Her eyes spoke of anticipation. "So, what do you have to say about your client now?" She cocked her head in my direction. "We know that he's not normal."
"It's the report on the condition of my client." Ryuken handed her a file and she went through it.
"Who's his doctor?" She asked, scanning the papers.
"At the moment, it's Kisuke Urahara and me"
I heard Starrk whisper Urahara's name, and Ryuken asked if he knew him.
"Who doesn't know that guy? He's a genius in what he does."
"What do you call your alternate self, Ichigo?" The Lieutenant uttered.
"They call him Hichigo" I answered. "He doesn't have a name."
"This report is enough to prove my client did what he did when he was forced to get into his hallowfied state." Ryuken declared.
"That may be true, Ishida-san." She shook her head. "However, Fuhrer will not let him off the hook if he continues to lose control on a whip; it's happened twice in less than 24 hours, and the consequences could have been dire."
"Whip?" Ryuken's voice reverberated in the musty room. "Need I remind you, Lt. Starrk, it was Fuhrer who decided to meet with my client's hollow yesterday without knowing who he was up against, and to make matters worse, it was uncalled for."
"We needed to see how bad his condition was for ourselves." She pressed the matter. "We can't have him roaming around among innocent people if he keeps losing his control." She looked at me. "Don't get me wrong, Ichigo." She smiled a bit. "I want you out of here since you're innocent, but we can't risk other people's lives too."
"I understand that you want a reason. Am I correct?" Ryuken spoke.
"Correct. A damn good one." She demanded.
Ryuken glanced at me to see if I was in control of myself, but it seemed that didn't matter because he would say what he had to say. "The first time Ichigo lost control, it was by disrespecting his late mother—a normal person would lose control in a situation like this, don't you think?" She blinked, but nodded her head eventually. "The second time was when..." He seemed to be hesitating in bringing up this subject.
