I was brought into the same interrogation room as yesterday. With an apple in hand, Starrk appeared to be simply waiting, rested against the marble pillar. He wasn't at all slouched; his physique was obviously too robust for that. He seemed lazy, yet his face was relaxed. He was almost smiling—smiling as if something good was about to happen. The world already felt sick to me. What was good for him was almost certainly bad for me.

I slumped in the chair a bit. Did I mention how uncomfortable this chair was? It was like sleeping outside on a rainy day. I yawned and rubbed my eyes for my lack of sleep. Starrk kept me waiting. Hachi told me that we would begin in a while, but something came up that needed Starrk's attention in the city.

Ryuken entered the room with so much confidence oozing from him, I was curious to see what he had. That made me almost grin. But then I saw his chair beside me. It was very different from mine and it looked very comfortable, as if he had read my mind.

"Don't act like a brat, Ichigo." He said, "You're a criminal. Remember?"

Starrk threw the rotten apple in a bin beside him and walked off with his lieutenant. They covered the distance together and climbed in their chairs and from the black-shaded window, I felt a deadly aura. I was being observed.

They didn't bring that officer today.

It's for the best. Otherwise I wouldn't have held back today, king.

I never wanted to kill her.

The Lieutenant waved her hand in front of my scowling face. It appeared I didn't hear what she had said.

Ryuken cleared his throat.

I blinked. "Sorry, Lieutenant. What did you say?"

"I asked, how's your wound?" She sounded kind.

Something sharp and cold dug into my skin. I looked down and saw there were handcuffs holding my hands to the table. I looked up at Starrk, seating himself back in the chair opposite to me. "For safety majors."

I shifted in my chair, realizing she was waiting for my reply. "It's nothing. It was just a scratch." My jaw was still bandaged from last night.

"Just a scratch..." She raised her eyebrows and nodded in understanding.

"Are you sure you're not lying?" Starrk searched my eyes for any trace of a lie in them.

"My client doesn't have any benefit in lying." My lawyer spoke for me.

"He's telling the truth." I told his lieutenant.

"Are you sure about it?"

"I'm sure." Starrk nodded, putting his hands on the mahogany table. I glanced at Ryuken. His vision was focused. That meant worse wasn't over yet. I needed to stay focused.

"I thought you were an abnonoscious, arrogant, and superiority complex kind of Fuhrer." I smirked. "But it seems you do use your brains."
