Chapter 45

"This is your house." I said to Ryder as we walk enter our house and I hold his hand.

Ryder pushes my hand away slowly. "I'm sorry, I'm not comfortable holding your hand." He said to me.

"That's alright." I nod and walk in.

"So I live alone here?" He asks me.

"No of course not. We lived together here. Three of us. You, Abigail, and I." I smile at him. "You can take a rest our room is upstairs. The one with the big door." I said to him.

"Okay." He nods and walks upstairs while looking around. I let out a sigh and walk to the kitchen to grab a mineral bottle from the fridge.

From now on, I just can hold my tears and be strong for this. I dont want something bad happened to me or my unborn baby or even Abigail because they are the only thing I have now.

"Hey.. what's your name again?" Ryder walks back downstairs.

I wipe my tears away quickly and turn my face at him. "Jade." I said to him.

"Okay, Jade. What is my job? Because I saw a white coat with dr. Lynn name tag. Is it mine?" He raises his eyebrows at me.

"No, it's mine. I'm an orthodontist and you are a lawyer." I smile at him.

"Wow I'm cool." He chuckles.

"What do you want for dinner tonight?" I ask him.

"Umm my favorite food." Ryder said to me.

I smile and look at him. "Do you wanna go to Abigail's school with me?"

"Nah. I'm tired." He simply said.

"Alright.." I said to him and take a note of my phone number and stick it on the fridge. "If you need something, call me to this number okay." I said to him and put my coat on.

"Okay." He simply nods and walks upstairs.

I let out a sigh and grab my car key. He is changed to be someone who I dont know. But I have to be patient. I'm sure that someday he will back to be normal again.

I walk to my car and start driving away from my house. I drive to Abigail's school and listening to the radio. I drive in the normal speed since I dont want something bad happen to me.

I park my car in front of Abigail's school. I walk out from my car and walk closer to her school while holding my phone and my car key.

"Jade?" Denise smiles at me.

"Hi." I smile back at her.

"I'm so sorry about what happened. Abigail told Charlie and he told me." She half smiled at me.

"That's alright. Everything will be fine." I smile at her.

The bells ringing. One by one kids went out from the building. I look around and looking for Abigail until she runs out and runs to me and I pick her up.

"Hi." I smile at her and peck on her lip.

"Hi, mommy." She smiled back at me.

"I'll see you later, Denise, Charlie." I wave them a goodbye and walk to my car while holding Abigail. "Daddy is home already." I smile at her.

"He is?" Abigail smiles.

"Yeah but you know that he still doesnt remember anything at all so dont force him too much okay." I said to her.

"Yes, mommy." Abigail nods.

"Good girl." I smile at her and kiss her head then put her on the back seat.
