"I'm sorry, what?!" You ask, panic filling your system as well.

"I-I don't know okay?! I just- He left and hasn't come back in a while and no one's seen and I-"

You could barely understand a word that Minho was saying at the point because of how fast he was speaking so you tried to calm him down by placing your hands on his shoulders and hushing him.

"Minho calm down. We can't find Jisung if you panic, okay?" You say in a gentle voice, like a mother trying to calm down a child. And Minho quickly nods his head at your words, still a bit tense. "Okay, now deep breaths... there... better?" As you spoke, Minho visibly calmed down and once again nodded his head at your question.

"Good. We should inform the queen then have a double check around the castle" You quickly say, letting go of Minho and marching back in the castle.

As you all headed towards the thrown room, you noticed how Minho still looked panicked, so you held his hand in yours and rub small circles at the back of his palm, flashing him a gentle smile.

"Don't worry Minho, Hyunjin's done this a lot of times! And I'm sure this isn't the first time that Jisung snuck out right? I mean, I met the guy because he ran awat from you" You say, chuckling at the memory. And Minho flashes you a small smile as a way of saying thank you.

As you all stood in the throne room, the queen paced around back and forth, the king fiddled with his fingers while the rest of you -Hyunjin, Minho, Jeongin, Felix, and yourself- stood still as you all waited for news.

The doors of the throne room opened and Changbin returned with news that indeed, none of the guards have seen Jisung around which added to everyone's worry.

Panic.
That was the only word that could describe everyone at the moment.

And in all honesty, you were as much of a mess as they all were. But seeing everybody In such a state, you quickly tried to compose yourself and think straight.

"Minho-" You suddenly spoke up, all eyes on you. "-could you think of any place that Jisung would go to or at least a reason as to why he'd leave"

And Minho takes a deep breath, clearing his thoughts and looking back. Then as if struck by a sudden realization, his eyes light up.

"The letter! His parents sent a letter. And after reading it, that's when he said that he needed to go out for some fresh air"

"Do you know what was in the letter?" The queen asks with worry.

You couldn't help but feel your heart swell up at the sight of the queen. Since Jisung first settled into the kingdom, she's been treating him as if he was her own child which you were grateful for because it helped the prince adjust quicker.

"I apologize your highness but I'm not allowed to read i-" Before Minho could even finish speaking you were already rushing to Jisung's study to get the letter.

And in a matter of seconds, you're back in the throne room, handing the letter over to the king who quickly opened it.

"It's just about his engagement, I don't really see why-"

At the mention of the engagement, your whole body grew tense.

"-y/n, what's wrong?" Hyunjin asked, cutting his father off when he noticed, making the whole room go silence.

"T-the forbidden forest" You muttered.

"What?"

"Jisung- I think- I think he went to the forbidden forest" You say, suddenly feeling numb.
