"YOUR MAJEESSSTTTTTYYYYY!"
A loud scream resonates through the hallway and dining room before a young boy, seemingly close to your age suddenly bursts through the double doors.
The three kingdoms have already left although the Hwangs had asked the Hans to stay for lunch so that the two brothers could catch up. As they all ate, the brothers talking about stocks while the queens discussed about clothing, Hyunjin simply poked on his food.
He knew that it was rude but he just wanted Han Jisung to disappear at this point. Why couldn't he just leave already? Why did he have to make silly faces at you which the royal parents were oblivious to because of the fact that they were drowning in their own conversations.
When the young boy burst through the door though, the whole room suddenly grew silent and all eyes were on him.
"Your Majesty! There's trouble in the kingdom!" At first, your brows are all furrowed as you wondered who he was talking to and what the hell he was talking about. He wasn't a staff member from your kingdom so what was happening?
Jisung's parents suddenly get up. Alarmed, The Hwangs and the two royal sons get up as well.
Jisung's parents glance at Hyunjin's parents before the brothers nod to each other as they silently agree to head over to the throne room to discuss matters.
*
After about an hour of you, Hyunjin, Jisung and Minho standing outside, pacing around the entrance of the throne room, the boy who ran in the dining room earlier exits the throne and glances at the two princes.
"What did they say Jeongin?!" Jisung asks approaching the boy who you now know is Jeongin.
"They want to speak to the two of you" The latter mutters, eyes still on the two princes. The four of you glance at each other before Jisung and Hyunjin push the double doors open.
Once you're all in the room, the atmosphere is heavy. And by the look on the kings and queens faces, you all knew that bad news was to follow.
"Jisung..." His father says, approaching his son and looking at him with pity. "Your mother and I must return to the kingdom but..." His father trails off, not knowing how to break the news to his son.
"Jisung dear-" Hyunjin's mother suddenly says, stepping towards the boy and holding his hands in hers "Some bad things are happening in your kingdom at the moment so for your safety, you'll be staying with us for a while" She finishes with a sad smile as she rubbed small circles at the back of the boy's palms.
Jisung's head is hung low and silence fills the air after that.
"Thank you for your hospitality your highness" He calmly says, looking the queen in the eyes before bowing to her and Hyunjin's father.
And you and Hyunjin stare at Jisung with wide eyes. If it was Hyunjin, he would immediately lash out to his parents, protest and demand reasons as to why he'd have to do that. But Jisung, he kept a straight face and remained composed.

After his parents left that night, Jisung locked himself in his room as he tried to process the whole situation.
He was simply laying on his bed, staring at the ceiling when he suddenly heard someone knock on the door. "Minho how many times do I have to tell you to go away! I said I'm fin-"
"-It's me"
Jisung immediately sits up upon hearing your voice. Silence filled the air as he simply stared at the door, contemplating on whether or not he should unlock it for you.
"I uh- it's so weird talking to a door but, I brought you food. And don't you dare tell me that you aren't hungry Han Jisung!" When you nag, Jisung tries to stifle a laugh, imaging that cute pout that forms on your lips an how your brows furrow whenever you do so.
"Anyway, ehem" As you clear your throat, Jisung slowly gets out of bed and steps towards the door. "I don't know if you'll open this door for me so I'll just leave your food here but please- please eat. Don't starve yourself"
And his eyes are wide as he stared at the wooden door in front of him. The worry laced in your voice was clearly evident and he wondered why you cared so much.
"Minho said you ignored him. Are you gonna ignore me too?" Why did you sound so sad? Jisung hears a bitter chuckle escape your lips before a sigh does.
"Um, I don't know if you're still listening or if you even did listen but what you did back there, I really admire you for that. You know, you're a lot stronger than people thi-"
The door suddenly rips open and you look eyes with Jisung who was staring at you with face full of emotions that you couldn't seem to describe. The boy who stood in front of you right now seemed so confused, joyful, yet so sad and broken at the same time.
"I'll um, place the food by the table" you mutter as you tried to cut through the awkward tension. You stepped past the boy who closed the door as you did so and placed the food by the table in the room.
What shocked you though was that right after you did, just as you turned around, you were suddenly engulfed in a tight embrace.
"J-Jisung?"
Your eyes were wide and you stilled when Jisung suddenly wrapped his arms around you and rested his head on your shoulder. "I feel like shit right now y/n" he muttered as his embrace tightened.
And for some reason, your heart was hurting at how broken he sounded. "I-I hate it. How, I always have to act all prim and proper. How I have to agree to them all of the time. How-"
Slowly, you wrap your arms around him as well as you rub small circles at his back, hushing him.
And for a literal minute, you both remain in that position before Jisung slowly pulls away, a seemingly bitter chuckle escaping his lips. "You're probably going to take back that strong shit you said about me"
"I meant it and I still do"
And Jisung's eyes go wide at how sincere your words were. No one's ever complimented him or thanked him for his efforts.
"Sorry I... I put you in such a position seconds ago. You were probably conflicted on whether you should let me hug you or push me away" He suddenly muttered, a little ashamed by his actions.
"I- Technically, it's not supposed to be fine. But-" you pursed your lips, wondering what to say which would be both appropriate for the situation and your statuses.
"-If you want someone to vent out to, I'm here. But... minus the skinship next time"
And you mentally face-palm yourself when what you just said sunk in. Yes it was appropriate for both your statuses and the situation but it just sounded so stupid to you because despite only knowing the guy who stood in front of you for a week, a small friendship had formed. And yes, maybe hugs are too much for that short amount of time, but if a strong friendship would build between the two of you and something like this would happen again, then what would you do?
Suddenly, your mind traced back to the memories whenever Hyunjin hugged you. 'Friends hug y/n so shut up and just let me hug you' But was it really okay to just casually disregard the hierarchy like that.
Another bitter chuckle that escapes Jisung's lips cuts off your train of thoughts. "You know, I always remained silent and accepted this whole hierarchy, but for once in my life, I really hate it"
Your eyes are wide at his words. "What do you mean-"
"-I prefer to eat my dinner alone. Thank you for bringing my food y/n"
