Beating Her at Her Own game

Gonna have to say Hi sometime.

   " Hi, I'm Y/n. "

   " Aaron. "

   " I'm guessing you and him weren't on good terms before?"

   " Nope. I'm never on good terms with Balto. "

   " So that's his name. "

   " Are you new here?"

   " Yes. I'm a freshman and I just moved here. "

   " You said your friend fainted?"

   " Ya. She fainted from anxiety. We aren't werewolves and she is very shy and new to this school so..."

   " I understand. Balto was right by the way. It takes a backbone to stand up to the Alpha. "

   " He's the alpha?"

   " Yup. "

   " Alpha or not treat everyone like you want to be treated. In his case, he treated me like something dead. So I just gave him a little flip. You must have a lot of backbone as well. You stood up to him too. "

   " Ya, but that's what I've been doing all throughout high school. "

   " What grade are you?" 

   " Senior. "

   " Well, just think once you leave and go to college he'll be gone. "

A small smile appeared on his face.

   " Ya. I just have to get through the year. "

   " Exactly. "

It must have been an hour cause the bell rang. I stood up and grabbed my backpack.

   " Where's your next class?"

   " It's gym class. "

   " You know where the gym is?"

   " No idea. But I know it's on the ground floor. "

   " I'll help you find it. "

   " Thanks."

He nodded and he walked me to the gym. We talked a little on the way and I noticed that where ever he went people stayed out of his way. So I guess he's a loner. Once we made it to the gym I thanked him again and walked into the locker room. I picked out a locker in the corner. I set some deodorant and a small bottle of perfume. I changed into my gym uniform.

Pretend they don't have to wear the same thing. Everyone can wear what they want for gym.

I set my phone in the locker and locked it. I walked outside and I saw Katlyn by the volleyball net. Garroth was playing baseball while some girl was drooling over him and Dante and Travis playing with him. I didn't see anyone else I knew except for Aaron but he stayed leaning on the wall.

   " Y/n!"

I looked towards Katlyn.

   " Catch!"

She hit the volleyball at me hard. Just like in the gym. It came flying at me. I hit it upwards and when it came back down I hit it hard towards her. She caught it and smiled at me.

   " Nice hit. That stung a little. "

   " Thanks. " I said walking over towards her.

   " Wanna play a match with me?"

   " Will it be just us?"

   " Ya, I wanna see how good you are against the captain. Me!"

   " Sure. Why not. "

I walked on one side of the net and she walked on the other one. She served it to me and we kept hitting it back and forth. Neither of us missed a hit. I had to dive for it at one point.

( Anyone's P.O.V. )

As Y/n and Katlyn played volleyball they had a few people watching them. They didn't realize it but it was surprising news to see someone as good as Katlyn. Since she is the captain of the team and no one can ever hit her serves. Some people stopped playing their games and watched. Dante, Garroth, Aaron, and Travis saw the game and had some thoughts go through their heads about Y/n.

( Dante P.O.V. )

Wow, look at those girls play. Y/n is actually doing good. Plus that bootayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. I need to go over there and get a closer look.

( Travis's P.O.V. )

Wow. She saved me this morning and is now going against the same girl. She is crazy. I saw Dante's eyes look at her butt though. I felt uncomfortable about that.

   " Travis let's go over there and watch. "

   " Okay. "

( Garroth's P.O.V. )

Is someone actually doing better than Katlyn? Wow, that's a first. It looks to be Y/n beating her! I saw Dante and Travis go over there and I started jogging over there too. When I got there I watched Y/n play. She was really good at volleyball. 

   " Go Y/n! Beat Katlyn at her own game. " I cheered.

   " Thanks, Garroth! " She yelled back.

I grinned knowing she heard me. But what is this feeling I'm having in my chest right now? It keeps growing when I look at her.

( Aaron's P.O.V. )

Wow. She's really strong. She stood up to Balto and got a bruise on her arm, yet she's still playing. She's something. I shook my head trying to get rid of those thoughts. I looked around and saw everybody stare at their game. I saw Garroth, Dante, and Travis I think walking over. I heard Garroth chant for Y/n. I could see a little blush on his face.

   ' What! '

Does he like her? If he does then I may have a problem.

( Your P.O.V. )

We kept playing, but when it grazed the net I ran up and hit it straight down and spiked it at her. She jumped and tried to hit it, but she missed. It hit the ground declaring me the winner.

   " I win!"

I heard clapping. That's when I noticed everyone watching. I walked under the net and helped Katlyn up.

   " That's a sign saying you need to do volleyball. You're just as good as me!"

   " Katlyn calm down. I already signed up for it. I don't need to sign it again. "

She cheered and everyone left to go do their own thing. Garroth, Dante, and Travis walked up to us.

   " Good job girls. " Travis said. The little cinnamon roll.

   " Ya~you girls were looking mighty fine out there. "

Then he got smacked by Katlyn.

   " Good job Y/n you managed to beat Katlyn at her own game. " Garroth said touching my shoulder.

   " Thanks, Garroth. Also thanks again for the cheering. "

   " Not a problem I wanted to see Katlyn go down. "

Katlyn ran after Garroth and I laughed as I watched. They ran by Aaron and I noticed he was staring at me. He gave me a smile and a thumbs up. I smiled back and nodded. Then I started running after Katlyn.
