No Money

   " Yes, Sweetie? "

   " U-Umm. "

What do I say!? After all this time I don't know what to say. 

   " Yes, what do you need? New phone? New laptop? New-"

   " Mom. "

She was silent and waited for my answer.

   " Can you and dad come home. I-I want to spend some time with you. I haven't seen you in a while. "

   " Y/n you know where we are, and that it's a long flight back. "

I waited. I was hoping she would just hang up and stop my ridiculous thoughts. At the same time though I want her to come home. 

   " We'll be on the next flight tomorrow. We'll be home on Sunday of next week. "

   " Thank you, mom! "

I hung up the phone. I felt......happy. Excited. My parents were going to be coming home to see me! YES!!! I can't believe it. They're coming home. I can spend some time with them. I never thought I would have this moment with them. I just need to get through the rest of the week. I can do this. I checked the time and realized it was lunchtime. I walked to the kitchen and started making F/f.

I woke up and went to get changed into my school uniform. I felt.....happy. My parents are coming home to see me. I'll get to see them. My whole being felt like it would be happy for the whole day. I started walking to school and I saw posters around saying there was a soccer match that would be plaid during school.

   ' $3.00? Do I even have money on me? '

I checked my backpack and didn't see my wallet.

   ' I'll have to miss it. '

I walked inside and walked to my homeroom. I saw Katlyn already in her seat. I went and took my seat beside her.

   " Hey, Katlyn. "

   " Hey, Y/n. Are you going to the game today? "

   " I can't I don't have any money on me. "

   " Oh. Sorry, I can't lend you any. I brought only three dollars for the game. "

   " It's fine. I'll just have to miss it. "

   " Ya. Anyway, you seem really happy today. May I ask why? "

   " Family problem just got solved and I'm happy because of it. "

   " Good. I'm at least something is making you happy today. "

   The bell rang and I said goodbye to her and started walking towards Advanced Math.

( Time Skip )

   " So are you going to the game? "

   " No. I can't, I didn't bring any money. I completely forgot about the game. " I said to the blonde haired boy.

    " Well, if you want I can look in my wallet and see if I have any money? "

   " No, Garroth. I don't want to take your money. I would feel really bad about it. "

   " But-"

   " It's alright really. "

We walked into English and I sat down in front of Laurence and Garroth beside Aphmau. 

    " You guys excited to see me play? " Laurence said with a smile on his face. 

   " You better be good out there. " Garroth said smirking at him

   " Ya, you need to beat the other team so we can move up and get to finals at the end of the year. " Aphmau cheered. 

   " What about you Y/n? "

   " I can't go to the game, but good luck Laurence. "

    " What? Why can't you go?"

   " I forgot to bring money? "

   " And she won't let me pay for her. " Garroth said pointing at me with his thumb.

   " Well, let me pay for you. "

   " No Laurence. I don't want to take any of your money. I would feel guilty about it. "

    " Please!? I want you to the be there. Your presence will give me luck. "

   " Laurence- "

   " You know what think of it as doing you a favor. I'll pay for you to go and you'll be there to cheer me on. Deal? "

   " That does seem fair. "

   " It does. So deal? "

He pulled his wallet out of his backpack and pulled out 3 dollars. He held them out toward me. I was hesitant at first, but I took the money from him.

   " Deal. " 

   " Great, can't wait to see you at the game. Cheer me on nice and loud okay? "

   " I will. "

   " Alright class today we will learn about the placement of commas, dashes, semi-colons, and colons. " Mrs. Applgate said walking through the door and shutting it.
