Apologizing

I left the lunchroom and walked to werewolf class. When I got inside I saw Aaron sitting in his seat on his phone. I walked over and sat down beside him.

   " Hey, Aaron. "

   " Hey, Y/n. How has your day been so far? "

   " Good so far. You? "

   " It's been interesting. "

   " How so? "

   " Balto kept trying to push my buttons all day. It got annoying. "

   " Please tell me you didn't hit him. "

   " I didn't, " he said sharing a small smile. 

Ever since the fight on the first day, I convinced Aaron to try not to get into fights. He agreed to try. He didn't need to get detention again. I smiled at him.

   " Good. Don't need detention now do we? "

   " I don't mom. Geez. You're like my mother. "

   " Well, who else would make sure you don't get out of trouble. "

His smile widened a little bit. I liked seeing his smile. it was warm and comforting. I immediately thought about how I yelled at him yesterday. Over the news.

   ' I should apologize. '

   " I'm sorry. "

   " What? "

   " I said I was sorry. I yelled at you yesterday and told you to leave. I'm sorry. "

   " I-It's fine. Really. "

   " Swear? "

I held my pinky out. I heard him chuckle a little bit. He looped his pinkie finger around mine.

   " I swear. "

   " Thank you. "

   " If you want to make it up to me you could tell me what was on the news. "

   " Ummm. My parents are always away on business trips. Their company is very popular and very very important. They're the 2nd highest company in the world. That's what was on the news. "

   " Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring up bad things. "

   " It's okay. I've lived with it forever. "

   " I'm sorry again. "

   " It's fine. I called my mom yesterday and asked if she could come home with dad. She's going to get on a plane and they will be here on Sunday of next week. "

   " That's great! I'm happy for you. "

I smiled at him. He was really kind. People only see him as mean and cold, but once you get to know him he's really nice.

   " And if you ever need to talk to someone about your parents being away you can talk to me. I can kind of relate to that. My parents are the same way. They are involved deeply in their business. "

   " I will. "

The teacher walked into the classroom and I noticed all the other students were in their seats.

   " Alright class, so the soccer game will be played during this block. They will call for people who have money to go. "

Once he said that and sat down at his desk the speaker came on and announced for people to head to the soccer field if they want to go to the game. I stood up with Aphmau and said by to Aaron. We walked to the entrance. I saw Katlyn at the entrance. We walked inside with her paying for the game.

   " I see you found some money Y/n. "

   " Ya, Laurence gave me some so I could watch. "

   " I see. "

We walked inside and sat down on the bleachers. The game started with announcing the teams. I saw Laurence walk on the field. He talked with the other soccer players and then they got in positions ready to play the game. 

   " I hope we win. " Aphmau said 

   " Me too. "

( Time Skip )

It was almost time for us to go back to class and head to our last block of the day. Our team was winning so far, but they looked worn out and tired. The other team looked ready to win. 

   " If the Phoenixs can get the next point they win their first soccer game this season. Can they score is the question? "

I was on the edge of my seat. We only needed one more point to win. Laurence talked with everyone and then they got into positions on the field. Everyone started cheering for us to get the goal.

   " Come on Laurence! You got this!"

Then the game started. he was able to kick the ball away from the other team ( I only know stuff about baseball. I don't know how to play any other sport, but baseball. ). He kicked the ball and it hit the net in the goal. Everyone in the stands stood up and cheered. I cheered as well with Aphmau and Katlyn.

   " And the Phoenixs are moving on to the next match!"

I saw Laurence's eyes travel through the crowd. His eyes found mine and he waved at me. I waved back giving him a thumbs up. The team walked back to the locker rooms and we all walked back to our classrooms. That was fun. I need to go to soccer and baseball games more often. When we got back to class I grabbed my stuff ready to leave. 

   " Hey, Y/n can I...walk you to class? "

   " Sure Aaron. "

As he walked me to class I told all about the game and how it went. 

What you didn't notice was that he wasn't listening. His eyes were on you, but he wasn't paying attention to your words. He was admiring you with kind and gentle eyes. Hoping you never found out what he did.
