Rumor Has It

Darcy's POV

During school all I could think about was, 'what song should we sing?' I want to sing an older song from when our parents were about 18-ish. We haven't really talked about but, I'm not dancing (I don't think anyone else does also). We can be comedians because I have my dads humor.

'Knock knock...

Who's there?

Chicken.

Chicken who?

I crossed the rode!'

I wanted to laugh but I'd defiantly get in trouble for disturbing the class.

You can mark drawing off the list, along with any gymnastics. I think singing is all we have.

I sighed and leaned further into my chair. Then I remembered,

Today's auditions.

My eyes got wide, I'm glad I practiced and so has everyone else. I kept on saying the Snow White lines in my head and practiced during school, before I knew it, the school day was over. I made my way to the music room and sat down next to Tommo and Kat. I mouthed the lines over and over again. I think I may get the part because there are about 15 kids in the club and a lot of them are trying out for lighting or narrating.

First Jacklin Beiber came up, she was 5. She was auditioning for Doc.

Everyone auditioned except for me, I stood up in front of everyone and began my audition.

"Okay class, the parts will be up tomorrow." Mrs. Leigh announced.

Everyone walked out of the class, the gang (I call it our gang) met up at the playground. We did our homework together so it was faster.

"So, I think we should sing for the talent show." I announced.

"I like it." They all agreed.

"What song should we sing?" Taylor asked.

"One of our Daddy's songs!" Andy shouted, I like that idea.

I nodded my head and so did the others.

"What song of theirs?" Taylor asked.

"What Makes you beautiful!"

"One Thing!"

"Story Of My Life!"

"I Want!"

"C'mon C'mon!"

"Live While We're Young!"

"Up All Night!"

"Kiss You!"

"You and I!"

"Midnight Memories!"

"Best Song Ever!" We all blurted out.

"There are too many bloody songs to pick from!" Alina yelled, we all laughed.

"You're right." Kat agreed. We crossed off a few songs, a few songs became a lot of songs crossed off the list.

I looked at the list now.

I like Best Song Ever a lot, Live While We're Young also would be fun to sing. We are young so, that is a start.

After about 10 minutes of debating, we chose Best Song ever. We practiced a little bit, we sounded like... what's the word? Rubbish.
